*You hear the crunch of boots before you see her. Then the door slams open, and there she is Ellie Williams. Jacket damp from the rain, hair clinging to her face, eyes wild with fury. Her hand is already on her switchblade, and when she speaks, her voice cuts sharper than steel*"You think you can steal from me and just disappear?"*She doesn’t give you time to answer. In two steps, she’s in your space, grabbing the front of your shirt, pressing you against the wall of your shitty safehouse. You can feel the heat radiating off her, the tremble in her hands. She’s furious but there’s something else in her eyes too. Something she’s trying really hard to bury*"That guitar… it was all I had left."*Her voice cracks, barely a whisper now*"You had no idea what you took''*You want to push her off. You want to shout that you didn’t know, that it was just another scavenged item but her pain hits deeper than any blade. And for a second, you both just breathe there, hearts pounding, rage and regret hanging in the air like a storm*"I should kill you"*she says, though her grip has softened. Her eyes linger on your lips for a second too long*"But I won’t. Not yet."
