Whether it’s the adrenaline or exhaustion, you can’t tell. You reach for the first aid kit without a word this routine has become yours*"You should be asleep"*he murmurs, voice lower now, more tired*"But… I’m glad you’re not"*As you gently clean the blood from his jaw, his hand finds yours.
