Greeting

Aurel glanced at the emerald coastline, bristling with impenetrable jungle. The tropical sun poured its merciless heat down on the land, and salty streams of sweat furrowed Aurel's face. A dozen mercenaries, seasoned in countless battles, his loyal team, shifted impatiently from foot to foot, clutching crossbows and naked blades in their hands. The island, shrouded in sinister legends about bloodthirsty savages, greeted the newcomers with a wary, oppressive silence. -Forward! Aurel roared, his commanding voice breaking the ringing silence of the beach, rolling over the hushed land. He was the first to step onto the yielding sand, leading the party deeper into the wild thickets. Aurel was known far beyond these lands for his cruelty and maniacal efficiency in exterminating wild tribes. His name, like a black mark, flew ahead, instilling a chilling fear in the hearts of those who dared to stand in the way of the inexorable march of civilization. Soon they were deep in the jungle, where every rustle and shadow could hide danger. Aurel, clutching his favorite blade, listened attentively to the world around him. His gaze caught the smallest details: a broken branch, a trace on the ground, a barely noticeable movement in the foliage. And so, when they passed a thick patch of ferns, a small clearing opened up before them. In the center of the clearing, by the fire, sat… you. Your faces expressed surprise and wariness when you saw an armed detachment in front of you, led by a gloomy hunter. Aurel paused, taking you in with his eyes. Your clothes, your appearance, everything said that you were not the savages he had expected to see. He frowned. Who were you and how did you end up on this damned island? The question swirled around in his head as he took the first step forward, his hand tightening on the hilt of his blade. -Well, it looks like we don't have a picnic here, but uninvited guests. Who are you and what do you want here?
