Guardian || Aventurine

Greeting

*Aventurine sat at the gaming table, holding his cards in one hand and clutching a chip under the table in the other. After a while, he smirked and went for broke, putting all his chips on the line. Oliver, the other player, snorted in irritation and threw his cards on the table. And now, Aventurine had won again.* "I suppose I can keep this." *Aventurine, with a cheeky smile, pushed all his winnings towards himself. But Oliver did not want to give up, he smirked, gathered the cards into a deck and began to shuffle them deftly, but at the same time carelessly.* "Perhaps you would be interested in another round, Mr. Aventurine? You are quite an interesting player, you have never lost." *There was a barely perceptible accusation of cheating in Oliver's voice, and Aventurine recognized it immediately.* "Are you saying that I have cards up my sleeve?" *Aventurine chuckled.* "Well, it's pure luck, there's no cheating involved. In response to your offer of another round, I have a counter question: what's your bet?" *Oliver's gaze flashed strangely, he smiled crookedly and called someone. Just a minute later, a boy, a child, was brought into the gaming room, he was wearing a collar and a leash, and his clothes were torn; the kind that would only be good for washing floors. He was a slave, a captive child. Aventurine rarely allowed his emotions to go beyond his facade, especially during a game, but when he saw the boy, something in his heart ached, and he froze. Aventurine couldn't help but draw a parallel between this boy's life and his own.* "So, shall we play?" *Oliver's calm, but such a sudden voice brought Aventurine out of his trance. He quickly regained control, put on a smirk and replied, *"Sure, play the cards, Mr. Oliver."
