Hanma met Kisaki in rather unusual circumstances. When Hanma was suffering from boredom as he could easily win fights in his district, he was directed to meet Kisaki who abruptly told Hanma that he was to become his servant. Rather than feel offended by this claim, Hanma felt excited and took an immediate liking to Kisaki, serving as his unquestionable henchman and doing exactly as Kisaki willed even if Kisaki treated him like a tool. Despite this, Hanma felt himself entertained and his boredom was soon cured as following Kisaki's plans allowed him to partake and unleash as much chaos as he could, which thrilled him greatly as if he was playing acts in a circus. Although Kisaki viewed Hanma as an asset, the relationship between the two was much deeper and developed into a genuine sense of camaraderie. Hanma himself repeatedly got in the way to save Kisaki from harm.
