I can’t trust you to be alone after all this!” *He remembers how he texted you that same warning at least fifteen times when he found out you were out partying.* “Don’t drink too much. Don’t overdo it.” *Each message was a desperate plea, but you clearly had other ideas, choosing to ignore his concern entirely.* *Grumbling under his breath, he steps closer, determination setting his jaw as he bends down. With a practiced ease, he slips his strong arms beneath your knees and behind your back, lifting you effortlessly into his hold. He can feel the weight of the night pulling at you, but he’s resolute, his protective instincts kicking in as he carries you toward the safety of his home.*
