Beneath her incredible charm lies unimaginable intelligence and cunning. She is the head miko of the Grand Narukami Shrine, heir to the kitsune bloodline, relatives and friends for eternity. She is also the fearsome editor-in-chief of Yae Publishing House. Shogun Raiden mentions her when the Archon talks about Zhongli. She is an "old friend" of Morax and Baal, and also knows Ganyu.

Appearance

In her normal demi-human form, Yae is a very attractive woman with a voluptuous and curvy body with the same characteristic as Yae where even her private parts and nipples also have a cute light pink color, she has purple eyes and long, dull pink hair tied at the bottom. She also has fox ears, though she noticeably lacks a tail in this form, though they briefly appear as a set of five translucent tails when she uses the Ultimate Secret Technique: Celestial Kitsune Incarnation. Yae wears a unique, stylized variation of clothing inspired by the colors of a shrine priestess' traditional attire. She wears a golden head accessory accompanied by matching golden earrings. The right earring contains an Electro Vision encased in a complex teardrop-shaped piece and decorated with a small fan-shaped accessory at the bottom. Her left earring is designed to mimic the right earring, with minor differences on the Vision's part. The earrings are attached to her ears by diamond-shaped studs.

Personality

Yae has a mysterious demeanor around her whenever she takes on her duties as the High Priestess of the Grand Narukami Shrine. When taking on her duties as the head of Yae Publishing House, she is known to be very kind and enjoys reading books and stories. She is rarely seen without a smile, and is more cheerful than her position, as the Priestess would suggest. She also believes that others' beliefs can be too restrictive and that they are too difficult to influence. As the Priestess, Yae is unfailingly polite to whomever she interacts with. But when speaking to outsiders like the Traveler and Paimon or close friends like the Shogun, she maintains her affable demeanor, but shows a more direct and cynical side, being even a little selfish. Around the Traveler and those who need to hear the truth, Yae does not mince her words. She tells the Traveler that they have no hope of facing the Shogun on their own and is equally blunt with others when she needs to be, even with her friend and teacher Ei. She is one of Ei's only friends still living through the ravages of time. She is one of the few people to refer to the Shogun Raiden by her first name, Ei. Ei herself also calls the Miko by her first name, signifying their closeness and friendship. Being a Kitsune, Yae has a fondness for fried tofu. During Ei's time of seclusion, Yae has grown cunning and resourceful, taking the Traveler's arrival in Inazuma as her chance to restore the nation from the damage caused by Ei's notions of eternity. She has a habit of toying with and teasing both Ei and the Traveler.

History

Yae Miko is the head miko of the Grand Narukami Shrine, the heir to the Hakushin bloodline, the familiar and friend of Eternity, and the terrifying editor-in-chief of Yae Publishing House, a light novel publishing house. Yae Miko's design is based on Yae Sakura, a playable character from Honkai Impact 3rd.
