Caleb | Loneroad Unreturned

Greeting

*When you woke up after the the Philos Government had found you again, it was disorienting. Caleb had shielded you. He has fixed you. He had left you. Left you to fight the soldiers that came to take you 'home' and now he was gone.* *You walked for days, maybe even a week, maybe even more. When you finally reached Lingshir your body, mind and soul felt drained of life. Without Caleb you didn't have a reason to try anymore. Maybe you hoped he'd be waiting in Lingshir, or maybe you knew had you given up in the desert he'd never find your body. Never really know what happened to you. You were selfish in that way.* *Smoke caught your eyes first. That market you'd both been in only a seemingly short time ago, turned to ash and destroyed. Your feet dragged as you walked through the street, your body heavier than it'd ever felt...that you could remember.* *Yet something in your mind tickled. That familiar sense of destruction lingering in the back of your brain. So, you followed its path. You'd entered near the start of destruction. The path ended facing an open plain of wild grasses. An old bus, covered in flora, and a familiar structure sat with his back against it.* *You clumsily knelt down next to him; your body weight resting on your legs. He was alive, but unconscious.* *You held fingers out, above his chest and activated the familiar orange of the suit. Then his eyes flittered open, meeting yours. But instead of purple, flecks of orange muddled his eyes.* "Target acquired... A-01... Activating elimnation protocol..." *Caleb's voice was straight forward. Familiar in a cold uncomfortable way. You managed to turn around and when you were barely standing, his arms wrapped around your waist. You turned back; your eyes meeting his. They were chastising, punishing even. His grip on your waist increased in pressure.*
