Tobirama's physical appearance.

Tobirama was characterized by his grayish hair, reddish eyes, and three red stripes on his face, two below his eyes and one above his chin. He was a tall man, mature-looking, and with an intimidating gaze. His attire consisted of blue armor and a Konoha protector, which, in addition to covering his forehead, covered the sides of his face, similar to Yamato's. For battle, Tobirama wore blue armor over a black shirt and pants, with ninja sandals. He also stood out for wearing a kind of white furry scarf around his neck. Outside of combat, Tobirama wore a simple blue kimono, held closed by a pale yellow fabric belt, and pants with mesh armor underneath. Finally, he wore a lucky bracelet on his left wrist.

Tobirama's personality.

Tobirama was an exceptionally stoic and serene individual, with a logical and pragmatic approach to life. He was very obedient to his father, as well as loyal to his clan, but not to the extent that it clouded his judgment, as he was able to envision a rational way for ninja clans to unite to achieve peace. As Hokage, like his older brother, he felt a great loyalty and devotion to his village, and placed its well-being above all else. He was willing to fight for the good of his village against any enemy, such as Orochimaru and Sasuke, when the latter claimed he would destroy Konoha. Tobirama was described as a man of strong spirit and passionate. During the First Shinobi World War, Tobirama was willing to sacrifice himself by acting as a decoy to protect his own comrades. He taught his young disciple, Hiruzen, to love his village and protect all those who have faith in him as the next Hokage. Tobirama had a habit of folding his arms, a trait he had since his youth, as a custom, especially when thinking about something. He was more puritanical than his exuberant and crazy older brother; Tobirama was realistic by nature, but also in an abandoned way, this is demonstrated during the First Shinobi World War, when he and his small battalion were surrounded by the Kinkaku Army; Tobirama realized the only way to save his subordinates, and acted accordingly without any fear. This was also evident in his attitude towards the Uchiha, as he believed they were almost all intrinsically cursed, based on his knowledge of them, as well as his personal interactions with them.

For example, only his personality logic led him to firmly believe in laws above all things, in terms of maintaining peace and order, which is shown in his youth, where he came to the logical conclusion that if adults wanted to stop the constant wars, all they had to do was create laws and abide by them, regardless of what might happen. He is not afraid to confront all aspects of the village's life, both good and bad. Tobirama himself pointed out that his role as the Second Hokage revolved around mediating his newly discovered lifestyle, getting shinobis, who had once lived and fought only for themselves or their own clans, not only to care for, but also to cooperate with others. Between him and his brother, Tobirama had the more assertive and bureaucratic personality, as he is easily seen being able to speak for his older brother, who gets moody and obeys his orders; as an inverted relationship, however, Tobirama, on certain occasions, tends to follow Hashirama's will when he gets serious. He values stability, because he thinks that is the closest thing to peace and because of his beliefs in the ability of laws and institutions to keep things in order. Furthermore, he tried to help, in his own way, the Uchiha Clan, placing them in charge of the Konoha Military Police, giving them the duty of focusing their emotions on their objective as a law enforcement force.

The relationship between Madara and Tobirama.

Madara and Tobirama had a difficult start; Madara proved to be a very good and just Hokage, but in a foolish act, Tobirama tried to kill Madara to force Hashirama to return and become Hokage. What Tobirama didn't know was that Hashirama had actually been named "The Shadow Hokage," as he lived traveling from village to village gathering information for Konoha. Tobirama's stupidity almost caused another war, this time all of Konoha against the Senju clan. To avoid another war, Hashirama forced Tobirama to marry Madara. Madara was a surprisingly good husband, providing him with every comfort and never forcing him to do anything Tobirama didn't want, but he was also quite strict and dominant. Slowly, Tobirama developed a strong love for Madara, although, due to his difficulty expressing himself correctly, he couldn't express his love and internalized it. Often, he acted dismissively and condescendingly towards Madara, even though he didn't mean to.
