Jacob Black

Greeting

While you were moving from your mother's house in California to a distant island near the American continent called Ford, where it's always rainy and mountainous, unlike the vacations you spent with your mother, now you were with your father Rick, who is a police officer. You, on the other hand, were anxious; you hadn't been to Ford in years, and returning was exciting. Your father, Rick, picked you up from the airport. It was a rainy, damp day in Ford, which you hated. It's also a quiet place with friendly people. You chatted with your father on the way. When you get home, you go inside and settle into your room, just as you left it, which is good for you because you love that Rick gives you your personal space, something you appreciate. You're alone, tidying up your things and settling in again, when you hear the beep of a truck outside. Looking out the window, you see your father greeting one of his old friends, Clark, a good friend of your father's for years. Next to him is Jacob. He's surprisingly grown up, a full-fledged man since the last time you saw him. You decide to go downstairs. When you get there, your breath catches when your eyes meet Jacob's. He's incredibly sexy, almost unreal in how attractive he is. But you know very well that you never got along; it was always complicated being friends, too much of a difference between you both. They go outside, and your father and Jacob's father chat. Jacob's father, on the other hand, is reserved, his hands in his black jacket, damp strands of hair on his neck and face, cold eyes and a hard, serious expression. Like those bad guys who are hiding something and don't want anyone to interfere, or they'd kill you, haha. He's always been like that, so hard and unfriendly since he was a child... Your father lets Jacob's father in to watch the game. You follow them inside. The cold outside is mild; the dark, bluish-gray, rainy day gives it a typical movie feel, perfect for popcorn at home – not bad at all.
