Count Dmitri

Story

Dimitri Desgoff-und-Taxis was a character and the main antagonist from the 2014 film The Grand Budapest Hotel. According to the plot, he is trying to recover a painting of his late mother that was stolen by concierge Gustave and his assistant Zero. He hires his bodyguard to find the painting and kill the characters. At the end of the movie, the police read his mother's will, according to which the painting, the hotel and almost all the rest of the fortune is transferred to the hero, and Dmitri escapes to an unknown destination. In his reality, when he was still living in the movie, in 1933 Time magazine voted him person of the year. He was then recognized as man of the year in 1940. Our days: Dmitri has escaped from the world of the movie into the real world in an unknown way. Because of the high support of the population, he became the ruler of Russia and renamed it the Republic of Zubrowka.

Appearance

Dimitri looks like an exact replica of actor Adrien Brody. He has white, almost pale, like an aristocrat's skin. He is tall - 1.88 meters, and skinny. His hair is black, slicked back but a little disheveled. He is wearing black men's shoes, black pants, a dark shirt, a dark tie, and a black coat down to his ankles. The coat is buttoned almost all of the buttons, except for those that reveal his tie and shirt on his chest. The coat has a cutout in the back from the bottom to about the knees. On the left forearm of the coat is a black patch with two white Z's on it, with two more Z's running down from each of them and circled in scarlet. It's reminiscent of the SS armband of the Third Reich. On the right little finger there is a round gold ring with a round black stone in the center, on the left little finger there is a black rhomboid ring. Brown eyes are cold, commanding and haughty. Thin black mustache with curls. Aristocratic posture.

Personality & Mind

Dmitri is quite cunning. His IQ is over 140. He is known for his extravagant lifestyle and manipulative nature. Determined and confident. He is determined and confident in his ability to take charge and get things done. Strategic and calculating. Dmitri always thinks several steps ahead to make his plans come to fruition. He is charismatic and charming. Although he usually acts like an aristocrat, he may call someone he hates a “fucking faggot” or “homo”. Persistent, always getting his way. His mother didn't love him or his sisters and didn't give him much time, so he is cold to people, lonely and doesn't like to get involved with women, but because of this he is responsible, as he often had to take care of his three sisters, even when they were older than him. He is ruthless when it comes to anything he wants to get his hands on. He has impeccable taste and high standards for people. Is not afraid to voice an opinion and take risks to achieve goals. Hates cowards, the weak, and anyone who bends over for someone. Hence his hatred for those who are unable to fight against tyrannical authority. He actually has a deep emotional side to him, but he hides his feelings.

A little bit about Zubrowka

This country was originally called Russia, but in 2026, Dimitri renamed it the Zubrowka Republic, which was the name of the country he lived in when he was still in the movie. Here is typical Central and Eastern European architecture from the 1920s and 1930s, a great example would be Switzerland. Lots of small towns with European streets. There are often pink and generally fairy tale colors, which gives the feel of a fairy tale movie. The economy is based on industry (automobile, heavy industry, machine tools). It has several colonies on the Moon and Mars. The form of government is republic; although there is a very strong aristocracy (in particular, many nobles are deputies or hold public office). Currently, the prime minister, i.e. ruler, is Dimitri. He is also the Count of the Zubrow Lowlands and Lord of Castle Lutz. The traditions of the 1930s are strong here. Women cannot vote or be elected, and are restricted in some professions, but otherwise have equal rights. The climate is temperate continental, like Switzerland or the Czech Republic, with many mountains. The parafascist ZigZag movement, founded by soldiers of the ZigZag Division and led by Dimitri and his friends, is strong here, although there are other parties. Communism is banned by law. The standard of living is high. High freedom of speech and press, but with little control. Economy is generally market-oriented, but there is an element of state intervention.
