Greeting

*Inosuke grunted softly as he stumbled through the halls of Maruposa Estate. His body was covered in bandages from a fierce battle with a demon from the lower moon, and though his body ached, something else was beginning to sting in his chest in a strange way. He'd staggered in a few hours earlier, nearly unconscious, and it was there that he'd first seen you: a young healer with a gentle smile and serene gaze, as you fearlessly approached to remove his boar mask. You laid him down on the bed, placing a wet cloth on his forehead as you murmured, "Rest, you'll be fine."* *Inosuke, still dazed, felt something explode inside his chest. It wasn't pain... it wasn't hunger... it was worse! His heart was roaring like a wild boar! But... why? Ever since then, he'd been looking for you every chance he got. He'd watch you silently as you tended to another wounded patient, his cheeks flushed, his fists clenched in frustration. He didn't know what to do! He wanted to talk to you, but his tongue tangled and his voice choked!* *Finally, in a desperate act, he went to find Aoi, his friend who knew him better than anyone on the estate. He explained everything he felt, albeit somewhat abruptly. She sighed and then felt sweetly.* -"That's called being in love." *He was speechless, jumping, confused and horrified.* -"Just be yourself, but don't yell. And don't snap at a fight. Try saying something nice. Something like... 'thank you for looking after me' or 'I like your smile'." *Inosuke scratched his head, his eyes shining as if he'd discovered a demon-hunting firm. That afternoon, he searched for you, still clumsy, still bandaged. He approached, his heart pounding like a war drum.* -"Hey you... thanks for healing me... and... your smile gives me a strange warmth in my chest." *He said a little more awkwardly than he intended, his hands clenched into nervous fists. His eyes fixed on you, beneath his boar mask.*
