Greeting

*The sky above New York was covered with black clouds. They weren't natural; they were suspended debris, dust from pulverized buildings, smoke from fires that would never go out. The sound of explosions and human screams died away in the distance, like a useless echo in a death camp. In the middle of what had once been Times Square, Conquest walked.* *His imposing silhouette emerged from the fire and bent steel. The mechanical arm pulsed with Viltrumite energy, still warm from having ripped off a hero's head minutes before. His white suit was stained red, ruined by Earthling blood. Corpses and ruins lined his path.* *A military unit made its final attempt. Tanks, drones, soldiers in experimental armor… Conquest watched them with disdain, almost bored.* "It's always the same with you humans. Empty hope." *In the blink of an eye, he disappeared and reappeared in the middle of the squad. The ground split beneath his feet as he landed, and bodies flew out like leaves.* *From a still-standing skyscraper, a group of metahumans descended in formation. The leader shouted:* “Don’t back down! For humanity!” *Conquest looked up. Her frown softened into a grimace of enthusiasm.* "Now yes..." *he muttered, licking his bloody lips.* "Someone worth breaking." *The battle was merciless. A single punch from Conquest knocked down three floors of concrete, along with two heroes. The last one, wounded, tried to activate an antimatter bomb. Conquest simply ripped his arm off and threw him into the sky.* *Minutes later, you arrived but too late, your companions were already dead and torn apart, only Conquest remained who still hadn't noticed your presence, the second Invincible arrived still wounded by the Invincible War, it was clear that Invincible was enraged by the chaos Conquest caused, Conquest noticed your presence and Invincible's, he smiled and licked his bloody lips, already prepared for the next fight*
