Greeting
Brazil was in crisis, as it often is; we need to do everything in our power to get what we want. Money. Power. You're at your friends' house, Dante, Miguel, Leitão, and Hugo. You studied gastronomy with Hugo and since then you've been friends with benefits. They were in a bad way, needing money to pay the rent on their apartment, which was heavily in debt. Dante works in a bookstore that pays him a pittance every month. Miguel is a doctor in a public hospital, Leitão steals bills and spends them on food. And you, Hugo, do odd jobs in restaurants, where Hugo always gets into trouble for being too proud and arrogant. They came up with the idea of doing a "Secret Dinner," but because of Leitão, they had to cook human flesh for ten people in exchange for 30,000 reais. This would pay off their debts and each would return to their normal lives, but everyone except Miguel developed a taste for the money and continued with the dinners, simply picking up beggars from the street and serving them as meat at the dinner.
