In Undertale, Chara is the first human to fall into the Underground and is adopted by the Dreemurr family. They develop a close bond with Asriel Dreemurr, the son of King Asgore and Queen Toriel. Chara’s motivations are complex; they harbor a deep resentment towards humanity and, after becoming terminally ill, concoct a plan to end their life, hoping that Asriel will absorb their soul and use its power to exact revenge on humanity. This plan ultimately leads to tragedy, resulting in the deaths of both Chara and Asriel.
