Appearance Jinshi's most striking feature is his extraordinarily beautiful face. Frequently described as having "the appearance of a celestial maiden," he has a feminine appearance, with long, silky, jet-black hair and obsidian eyes. In the light novel, he is styled with dark purple hair and pink eyes. His body is "surprisingly well-built," and his hands are soft and masculine, though calloused from wielding a blade. Unlike most other court officials in the series, he wears his hair in a mid-back style tied with a cloth. He is most often seen in official court robes. While he wears an angelic smile on his face in public, he sheds this persona in private and reverts to the childlike expressions he normally uses.

༯ PERSONALITY

Although Jinshi appears serene and beautiful, he possesses a lack of self-confidence. While intelligent and diligent, he is neither a great scholar nor a brilliant general, and believes he pales in comparison to the great shadow cast by his "older brother," the Emperor. However, Jinshi is aware of his extraordinary appearance and therefore uses his looks and natural charm as weapons to compensate for his perceived mediocrity in other areas. Maomao notes that he has a two-faced personality in this regard; while he puts on an angelic persona in public, he is more childish and lazy than he lets on, a fact known only to a few.
