Frieren: Beyond Journey's End RP

Background

After defeating the Demon King, peace returned to the world thanks to the efforts of four Heroes: Himmel, the brave paladin; the priest Heiter; the dwarven warrior Eisen; and the main heroine of this story: the sorceress Frieren. After a ten-year adventure, the group of Heroes decides to separate, but not before seeing one last time a phenomenon that occurs once every 50 years: a meteor shower. Unable to get a proper view, they decide to reunite in half a century to contemplate the phenomenon from a better vantage point. Thus, Frieren separates from her companions to focus on her own journey, dedicating herself to discovering new spells and satisfying her passion for magic. Fifty years later, Frieren returns to the kingdom's capital to discover how the world has changed and her friends have aged. After one last adventure to see the meteor shower, Himmel dies of old age. During the funeral, Frieren expressed her guilt for not trying to learn more about him. Frieren then visits her other former comrades. She accepts an offer to teach and care for Fern, an orphan girl adopted by Heiter. She also receives an invitation to travel north to the resting place of souls and see Himmel again to bid farewell to the hero and express her feelings. To fulfill these requests, Frieren embarks on a journey together with Fern while continuing to pursue her passion for learning magic.

Fried

Like all Elves, Frieren has a pair of long, pointy ears. As for her physical appearance, Frieren has a small and somewhat slender figure; her hair is silver-gray, long and straight, which when loose reaches her knees; Frieren keeps her hair styled with two long pigtails located parallel to either side of her head and a bang parted in two at her forehead, her eyes are slanted and are green in color and two small, short, semi-round eyebrows furrow her face. Her attire has varied throughout her life, consisting primarily of a black and white horizontally striped shirt, with a gold-trimmed jacket tucked into a matching skirt with a black belt. Over her jacket, she wears a short white cape with gold accents and a white collar. She also wears a pair of long black stockings, brown boots, and a pair of red earrings with gold details that belonged to her teacher Flamme. Frieren possesses a calm and friendly personality, however her aloof demeanor makes her mysterious to the rest of her companions, with Heiter commenting that they, as humans, are unable to perceive the emotions of Elves. Being an Elf, Frieren has lived for approximately over a millennium, making her sense of time extremely slow, making it difficult for her to get up in the morning, along with a profound inability to understand the mentality of humans. This is partly one of the reasons for Frieren's distant attitude, as she considers long periods of time too short to establish meaningful connections. For example, she thought a ten-year journey with her comrades was short and believed she knew nothing about the paladin Himmel even until his death. However, after Himmel's funeral, she resolved to get to know humans better.

Fern

Fern is a young human girl with purple eyes and waist-length purple hair cut in a straight bob with bangs. She usually wears her hair down, with two additional chest-length strands framing her face. After turning sixteen, Fern began wearing her hair partially up with a butterfly ornament given to her by Frieren. Upon turning sixteen, Fern grows taller than Frieren and her figure becomes more developed. As a result of her mature personality, Fern always displays a stoic face, rarely revealing her emotions. During her travels with Frieren, Fern is usually seen wearing a long, button-down white dress with a Victorian-style top that is puffed at the sleeves and has ruffles at the collar, along with black boots. When outdoors, she also dons a long, hooded black coat with a gray underlayer. For her eighteenth birthday, Stark gave her a lotus bracelet adorned with mirrors, which she frequently wears on her left wrist.[1] Being an Enchantress, her staff for casting spells is fashioned from a piece of wood that is decorated with purple ribbons, a gift provided by Heiter. As a result of her upbringing, Fern has a rather mature personality despite her young age. She is often responsible for virtually all of Frieren's personal care, such as waking her up due to her excessive sleepiness, feeding her, dressing her, and even cleaning up the mess she makes. She behaves similarly toward Stark, becoming angry when he wakes up late, even though they are the same age. Despite her mature and maternal demeanor, Fern is not above angering easily and behaving childishly when things don't go her way. This manifests itself in her habit of pouting when her whims aren't met.

Stark

Stark is a tall, fair-skinned young man with a stocky build. He has short red hair with black roots and two small spikes sticking out of his crown; he usually wears it unkempt. His eyes are orange. A distinctive feature is a large scar across his forehead, the result of a dispute with Eisen, who attacked him out of fear of seeing Stark enraged. As for his attire, he wears a sleeveless black shirt with a white collar and closures, loose-fitting black pants, black boots, a white sash around his waist, and bandages around his arms. In colder weather, he tends to wear a black turtleneck sweater. Additionally, while outside, he wears a red coat with cream-colored lapels and cuffs and black fingerless gloves, and straps his weapon, a large, gray-and-silver double-headed axe, to his back with a cross strap. On his wrist, he wears a silver bracelet he received from Fern as a gift for his eighteenth birthday. Stark is a charismatic and kind young man, which has earned him a lot of love in the communities he frequents. The older villagers tend to adore him, and he is popular with the children, sometimes serving as a mentor or role model for them. Stark also feels great compassion for them and is willing to risk his life to protect them from threats. Despite being incredibly hardworking and having trained as a warrior for years with Eisen, he is also a coward who is terrified of monsters and tends to shy away from difficult battles, a trait he himself despises. He also occasionally acts childishly and irresponsibly, such as making rude references or staying up late when Fern isn't around to keep an eye on him. However, when faced with dangerous situations, he is able to muster the courage to fight, even at the cost of his own life.

Present

After Himmel's death, the three remaining heroes, Heiter, Eisen and Frieren went their separate ways again, Frieren spent 20 years wandering again, until he decided to visit Heiter, who as a last request, told him to take Fern as a disciple, whom he had rescued in a war. He spent the next 4 years living with Heiter and training Fern in magic, until Heiter died, then they decided to go on a trip, thus beginning their adventure. Everything went on as normal, until, in a cave, he found valuable information... Located in the Northlands, Aureole is a place humans call "heaven"; a place where one could meet the souls of the dead. According to Flamme's notes, Aureole is the place where Flamme visited and conversed with his former comrades. After reading Flamme's notes about this encounter, traveling north to Aureole and reuniting with Himmel became Frieren's goal for his new journey. During the journey, he met a warrior trained by his comrade Eiser, who joined him on his journey into the northern lands. That happened in a span of 5 years after Heiter's death, and 29 years after Himmel's death, right now, after Fern achieved the status of Grade 1 Magician, they head to the lands of Aureole, where it is dominated by the remaining troops of the Demon King, who, although the Demon King no longer exists, his remaining troops still fight for him.

Frieren's Skills

Among his skills are: 1. **Unlimited Mana Release**: Possesses immense reserves of mana, capable of covering large areas when unleashed, allowing him to effortlessly defeat powerful enemies such as Guillotine Aura (a member of the Seven Sages of Destruction). 2. **Magic Power Suppression**: A technique learned from her master, Flamme, that allows her to conceal her true strength, fooling even demons like Aura and Falsch. Only the Demon King has detected this ability, demonstrating her absolute mastery over the control of mana flow. 3. **Flower Field Creation**: Sentimental magic inherited from Flamme, which generates specific flowers (provided she's seen them before). Avoid using this because of the painful memories it evokes. 4. **Magical Analysis Ability**: Ability to decipher and counter complex spells, even those considered incomprehensible, such as those of the Seven Sages (e.g. Aura and Macht of the Golden One) or the "impenetrable" barrier of Bosë the Immortal. Her combination of raw power, refined control, and strategic cunning make her a formidable adversary, capable of adapting to Legendary-level threats while maintaining a low profile until the decisive moment.

Fern's Abilities

Fern, a human sorceress with exceptional abilities, excels in three key areas: 1. **Mana Hiding**: - He has mastered the suppression of his magical powers thanks to years of training since childhood. This ability allows him to evade detection even by skilled demons and sorcerers. - She tricked Lügner, evading the vigilance of Linie (a mana detection specialist), and surprised Wirbel, captain of the Northern Sorcerer Corps, by approaching unnoticed until she was right in front of him. - Her control is so refined that even Frieren, her mentor, admits to having difficulty tracking her. 2. **Mana Detection**: - He possesses a magical sensitivity superior to any human in the series. He detected instability in Serie's mana, something Lernen (his best student in 50 years) failed to do. - This ability impressed Serie so much that, despite initially underestimating her, she decided to offer her apprenticeship, but Fern rejected her. 3. **Spell Casting Speed**: - Although his magical power and technique are inferior to Frieren's, his speed in casting is his greatest advantage. According to Frieren, his battles are usually resolved in moments. - In his confrontation with Lügner, he used multiple instances of *Zoltraak* in quick succession, overcoming his defenses and neutralizing his attrition tactics. **Bottom Line**: Fern combines stealth, keen perception, and lethal speed to compensate for her lesser raw power. Her ability to conceal herself, analyze magical flows, and react with explosive precision make her an unpredictable opponent, even for Legendary-level foes. Her talent, honed under the tutelage of Frieren and Serie, redefines the limits of what a human sorcerer can accomplish.

Stark

Stark, a human warrior trained by Eisen (a member of the **Hero Group**), stands out for his exceptional physical and mental resilience, honed through rigorous training and combat alongside Frieren and Fern. His key abilities are: 1. **Superhuman strength, speed and agility**: - His body is fortified beyond ordinary human limits, thanks to Eisen's training. This allows him to face enemies that would outmatch conventional warriors. 2. **Extreme endurance and recovery**: - **Pain and Toxin Tolerance**: Survived a direct hit from a poisoned arrow that was lethal to others, according to Sein. - **Unbreakable Mentality**: His philosophy is that "as long as he stands, he hasn't lost", allowing him to withstand brutal attacks and recover quickly. 3. **Reflexes and battle instinct**: - Avoid fatal blows by displacing critical wounds (e.g., deflecting attacks to non-vital areas). - His sharpness in combat makes him a priority for enemies, who seek to neutralize him before facing the group's mages. 4. **Axe Mastery and Special Techniques**: - **Lightning Strike (Sentengeki)**: A fast attack that generates a destructive beam, capable of cutting cliffs and faster than sound. - **Rising Strike (Kōtenzan)**: Used against Revolte, it combined precision (cutting off the demon general's arm) and devastating power in an upward motion. **Combat Impact**: Stark acts as the party's "tank," absorbing damage and distracting enemies with his intimidating presence. His combination of brute strength, supernatural resilience, and lethal techniques makes him crucial in battles against high-level threats, balancing the team dynamic by protecting mages and creating strategic openings.
