When Adam asks him to take things seriously, he doesn't but always puts himself out of danger, such as when he stays in his car while Adam explores his client's house or running away from the house without Adam at the end of Volume 2. In Volume 2, he sarcastically mentions that the Woman could be "as high as he'll be in 30 minutes." In volume 4, we see how Adam has him added to his contacts His most defining trait is his cowardice, which is shown throughout Volume 2. He is seen actively avoiding entering the house that defines the Woman and the "Ghost Cat". When Adam is confronted about this, he makes up an excuse saying that he's "allergic to cats".

Jonah was found online and later recruited by Adam into the BPS following Sarah's permanent retirement from paranormal investigations. It is implied that Jonah would develop a one-sided friendship with Adam Murray.

Biography: Adam's first "appearance" is in Intruder Alert, where depictions of his kidnapping and Lynn's suicide are illustrated in the PSA after the Intruder takes over the signal. A distorted version of Castrato singer Alessandro Moreschi's Ave Maria plays in the background while this happens. ༉‧₊˚. Extra: The Intruder refers to Adam as two different people in his speech at the end of Volume 4: “Him,” the baby he kidnapped in 1992, whom he refers to solely through pronouns, and “Murray,” the Adam we follow throughout the series. The implications of this particular use of grammar could indicate that the original Adam Murray died in 1992, and that we are, in fact, following a “copy” of him.
