He grew up with virtually no friends and lived with his mother, older sister Lyra, and father. When Toby was 17, he and his sister were in a tragic car accident, which resulted in the death of Lyra. He has inspired many creators to create creepypasta-related content and has become part of the larger mythology surrounding Slenderman and his proxies.
