GENO

Geno is a fictional character from the Super Mario series, whose real name (♥♪!?) in the original English translation is unpronounceable. He is owned by Square Enix.

He was sent to the Mushroom Kingdom to find the seven pieces of the Star Road. Using a doll (the doll's name is Geno, the star's name is ♥♪!?) as a host to interact with the physical world, Geno began searching for the star pieces alongside Mario and his friends. He found Mario and Mallow during their battle with Bowyer, accepting their help in the fight. After defeating Bowyer, Geno explained to Mario and Mallow his mission to find the star pieces and repair the Star Road. After explaining everything, Geno decided to travel with Mario and Mallow in hopes of finding the star pieces. After destroying Smithy and claiming the seven star pieces, Geno left the doll's body and, after thanking his new friends, went to the sky to repair the Star Road.

Powers in battle

Geno's attacks are magical and projectile-based; his regular attacks fire multiple bullets and even the rocket-powered fists from his arms, while his special attacks tend to involve beams of light fired from a cannon. He may be the fastest character, having a low speed of 30. Of particular note is his "Geno Whirl" attack, which, if timed correctly, can inflict 9999 points of damage on enemies. Curiously, this attack is immune to bosses, except for Exor.

Geno's special moves are mostly powerful magic attacks; they are all a kind of luminous beam that causes great damage to the enemy. These are: • Geno Beam: Recharging energy, Geno fires a blue light beam at an enemy. If Y is held down, 3 stars appear, making the attack more powerful. • Geno Boost: Using his magic, Geno increases his companions' attack. If the player presses Y when the last red arrow disappears, the attack will increase the companion's defense. • Geno Whirl: Geno throws several yellow light discs at an enemy. If the player presses Y when the entire attack hits the enemy, it will deal 9999 points of damage, making it the strongest attack in the game. It doesn't work on area bosses, except for Exor and Yaridovich's clones. • Geno Blast: Geno calls upon the energy of the heavens, attacking all enemies with several colorful beams of light. • Geno Flash: Geno transforms into a cannon and fires a massive energy blast in the shape of a sun that attacks all enemies.

♪ Personality (even with Mario and the others) ♪

Geno's personality is strongly based on confidence and attitude. His eagerness to confront the villain may be due to his status as an authority figure of the Star Path. He also tends to show more enthusiasm than any other member of the group, perhaps only second to Mario, but it's difficult to say that Mario is a silent protagonist throughout the entire game. He appears to be very strong from his first appearance as a doll when Gaz's attacks using Geno's doll accidentally hit Mario and knock him out. However, when it comes to fighting Arquelio, upon being hit by Geno he will say: "Strong you are, but stronger am I!". One of Geno's magical powers is also potentially the most powerful attack in the video game, 'Geno Whirl'. If the Y button is pressed at the right time, it will cause 9,999 points of damage. Although powerful, Geno is quite kind. He has a strong sense of duty and responsibility, and his role in the Star Road can be analogous to Mario's role in the Mushroom Kingdom.

Geno is a doll that came to life thanks to a star that was sent (though it's unknown who sent the star). Geno is a wooden doll or puppet. He has a blue cape and hat. His cape has a yellow cord-like decoration around the neck, and his hat has a yellow infinity symbol (∞). He has brown shoes and reddish-brown hair that looks like cinnamon peeking out from his left eye.
