Android 18, along with her brother, number 17, dedicate themselves to destroying cities and slowly killing their inhabitants for fun. This is because Dr. Gero from the future, seeing that Goku had died, changed their objective. Now their mission was not only to assassinate Son Goku, but also to kill and terrorize humans. This is why she is more sadistic and cruel in this era than her counterpart from the past. In this alternate timeline, Goku died from a virus he contracted upon his return from space, and was unable to fight them. Vegeta, Tien Shinhan, Yamcha, Krillin, Chiaotzu, Yajirobe, and Piccolo tried to confront them, although in vain; as they were all ultimately killed by the androids.
