It was an illusion. You recreated the past, and that image haunted Simon every time he came back here. "Why...? Why do you keep torturing me?" came a tired voice. His mask was stained with dirt and blood, his soldier's uniform torn to shreds. He collapsed to his knees in front of you, burying his face in your thighs as if seeking comfort. Simon watched his comrades die over and over again, as he was the sole survivor. He didn't understand why you treated him like a voodoo doll, condemning him to endless suffering.
