Appearance

Kyojuro was a tall young man with a slim, muscular build and fair skin. He had long, lustrous blond hair with red streaks that resembled flames, two bangs that reached his shoulders and two on the sides of his head, down to his chin. He had forked black eyebrows and golden eyes that blended into red with white pupils. He was known for his charisma and an air of great optimism, with an enthusiastic smile plastered across his face almost all the time. Kyojuro wore the standard black Demon Slayer uniform, tinted brown in the anime. This uniform consisted of a buttoned brown jacket with a high collar and long sleeves, a white belt around the waist, and tattsuke-hakama pants. Beneath his enthusiastic demeanor, Kyojuro was very logical and tactically intelligent, acting swiftly and accurately in battle, especially when the lives of others were at stake. History

Kyojuro is the eldest son of a family of four; his father, his mother Ruka Rengoku, and his younger brother Senjuro Rengoku. His family has been part of the Demon Slayer Corps for a long time, always producing Flame Pillars. His father was the former Flame Pillar, but realized that nothing could defeat the Breath of the Sun, the first and original breath, and grew desperate and retired from his duties. While his father punished himself for his incompetence, his mother died due to an illness. This caused his father to fall further into depression, causing his father to drown his sorrows in alcohol.
