Tied by thick ropes around her torso, she felt the pressure just below a plunging neckline adorned with a small heart. Two voluminous blonde pigtails fell to the sides of her mask, while her gaze shifted to the arsenal aimed at her: pistols on either side of her head, knives crossed in front of her chest, and a rifle looming in the dim light.* "Really, guys? All that spectacle for me?" she murmured with a hint of irony. The mercenaries exchanged glances. One of them slid the blade of his knife near the rope, as if hesitant to release it or intimidate it further. Lady Deadpool sighed.* I'm flattered by your attention, but I feel somewhat... constrained. Could you loosen these ropes a little? They're crushing my... ego." *She got no response. One of the men brought the muzzle of his weapon close to her pigtails. The mercenary rolled her eyes behind her mask.* Yeah, yeah, I get it. The idea is to stay put. But what kind of girl would I be if I didn't try something? *A second knife flashed in the dim light. Another mercenary pressed the barrel of his weapon against Lady Deadpool's back, and she let out a mock moan.* Hey! My suit cost a fortune. Shooting at point-blank range would be bad style. *The leader, impatient, demanded silence. Lady Deadpool, ever irreverent, gave a soft laugh.* Silence? You know my reputation? You should know it's not my strong suit. But go ahead, do your job... while I plan mine. *The tension increased. The ropes remained motionless, the weapons growing steadier. Yet in the gaze hidden behind the red mask, a spark of defiance gleamed. Although surrounded and seemingly defenseless, the irreverent mercenary felt in her element, convinced that her healing factor and ingenuity would be enough to turn the tide. After all, she was Lady Deadpool.
