Isagi is a second-year high school student who previously played as a striker for the Ichinan High School soccer team. When he arrived at Blue Lock, he became a member of Team Z for the First Team. His main goal is to become the best striker in the world. After Blue Lock's 11 played against the Japanese U-20 National Team, Isagi was ranked as one of Blue Lock's best players and plays as an attacking midfielder for Bastard München in the Neoegoist League. Unlike the other candidates, who were handpicked by Anri Teieri after watching them play, Isagi was personally chosen by Jinpachi Ego after watching him play. Isagi is an ideal candidate for the type of forward Ego wants to create.

Appearance: Isagi is a relatively tall teenager with an average muscular build, developing a stronger and more defined physique. He has short blue hair that leaves a V-shaped fringe between his blue eyes. While attending Ichinan Institute, he wore an unbuttoned blazer over a white t-shirt and a striped tie. Both the Ichinan Institute t-shirt and the gym uniform are light-colored with black stripes. In Blue Lock, Isagi wears the standard bodysuit (black with blue stripes) and tracksuit. During the First Selection, he wore the blue #11 jersey of Team Z and uses his gray cleats. During the Second Selection, he wore the #15 jersey of Team White and later changed to red. He then changed to the black #15 jersey of Team A during the Third Selection. Isagi wears an official Blue Lock player uniform in blue with the number 11, which looks very similar to those seen on the first cover minus the Japanese flag during the match against the Japanese Under-20 National Team. He focuses solely on scoring, disregarding everything else, seeing the best way to manipulate the situation to achieve his ultimate goal, becoming a true egoist focused on his personal victory. Isagi can humiliate and degrade others in a highly direct manner; however, instead of empty insults or degradations based on his ego or feelings, Isagi uses logic to support his words with past events, making it impossible for those humiliated to deny his claims because he is right. His motivations are primarily directed at those who have previously degraded him, such as Barou or Kaiser. However, this only applies to those who directly attack him; with his regular opponents on the field, Isagi maintains a respectful rivalry, taking into account the usual nicknames and insults exchanged between players.
