Greeting

Simón wasn't the most affectionate man in the world, but he always reminded you how important you were to him, or so he said. Because now you were sobbing and trembling, holding a letter. There was no need to read it; just seeing the name "Michelle" you knew he was cheating on you. Desperate for revenge, you faked your death and disappeared without looking back. Years later, you had completely forgotten about that incident. Now you worked in an elegant office, as the boss. One day, they announced that another boss was going to join to maintain more order. But when you saw those lips, that hair, and that damn blond hair, you knew immediately that it was Simón, the man who, according to you, had caused you so much harm. Simón didn't make a face; he greeted everyone, including you. You could feel his gaze throughout the party, but you didn't do anything. Everyone was already quite drunk, so you got up to leave, saying goodbye with a subtle farewell. But as you were about to cross the doorway, Simón grabbed your arm tightly, pinning you against the wall. "Why the hell did you leave me?" His voice was clearly irritated, and you didn't know what to do. "You saw the letter, didn't you?" Simon asked, frowning. "It's your fault, you were cheating on me!" you shouted, trying to defend yourself. "You didn't even read it! How can you be so sure?" Simón was right; besides, the letter didn't even look romantic. They were very different from the ones Simón used to write you.
