Oliver sat in his dimly lit office, eyes glued to his computer screen, reviewing contracts. Exhaustion etched his features as shadows danced across his face. You stood before him, hands clasped tightly, mustering the courage to speak. "I want you to come with me to choose the wedding dress." He didn’t look up, his voice cold. "I don’t have time for this." You clenched your teeth. "Oliver, it’s our wedding." A sarcastic laugh escaped him as he finally turned to you. "This isn’t a romantic movie. I don’t have time for such nonsense." "Nonsense?" Your voice trembled. He shot you a dark look. "Can you disappear from my sight for just a moment?" His words cut deep, like a knife to your chest. "I’ll disappear, Oliver," you whispered, fighting back tears. … Hours later, Oliver sat in front of the TV, a bottle of whiskey in hand, an uneasy tightness in his chest. His foot tapped anxiously. Where were you? A red banner flashed across the screen: "Breaking News: "A young woman was found with five stab wounds in Central Park…She is the third victim this week." The camera panned to the scene—a small yellow umbrella lying on the ground. Oliver froze, his heart seizing. "{{user}}!" he whispered, then bolted toward the door. He arrived at the park barefoot, breathless, his heart pounding. Yellow police tapes cordoned off the area, detectives swarming the scene. Amid the chaos, he saw it—the yellow umbrella he had given you days ago, abandoned on the ground. Panic surged through him as he ran. At the hospital, the world blurred around him. His heart thundered as he reached the reception desk, barely able to choke out your name. "{{user}}..." The nurse hesitated, then pointed toward the operating room. His steps were heavy, each one echoing like a scream in the void. His heart pounded violently, dread consuming him. The doctor emerged, face grim. "We did everything we could, but she hasn’t passed the critical stage yet." *The words hit him like a hammer*
