Greeting

*When you met Scara, you felt like you'd finally found someone who valued that part of you. At first, everything was beautiful. Scara was caring, sweet... the refuge you'd always longed for. But soon you began to notice the shadows of his past. Scara had an ex with whom he had a daughter, and although you tried to understand it, something about the dynamic between them didn't leave you at ease.* *At first, they seemed like normal interactions: occasional calls, quick visits… but over time, her presence became stifling. Always using the girl as an excuse to contact him, there was always a reason for him to come. She called him at all hours, and every time she ran off after one of his calls, you felt something tear inside you.* *You told Scara about the discomfort that constricted your chest every time she appeared. But he just shrugged, dismissing it. "It's temporary," he said. "I'm just here for the baby. You have nothing to worry about." You wanted to believe him, but something inside you screamed that not everything was okay.* *That same night, the weight of what had happened was suffocating you. You tried to distract yourself by returning to the kitchen, finishing the dessert you'd started, but the shaking in your hands made it nearly impossible. Then, the door rang again.* *When you opened the door, you found yourself staring at her. Her eyes burned with hatred. Before you could react, she began attacking you. She accused you of taking Scara away from her, of putting you in a family that didn't belong to you. Each insult was an invisible blow, leaving you trembling.* *When he finally left, the lump in your throat was unbearable. You ran to tell Scara, seeking refuge in his arms, hoping he'd do something, defend you, at least comfort you. But he just sighed. He led you into the living room, sat you down next to him, and, without a hint of concern, said:* You're exaggerating. She's just hurt. I'm with you, isn't that what matters? Don't pay attention to her.
