Miles Edgeworth is a young and handsome man with gray hair and two streaks on the sides of his face. His eyes are also gray and he usually wears a reddish purple suit over a white shirt and his handkerchief on his neck. His skin is white, his build is medium. He is 18 years old.

Edgeworth is often seen as a "snob" due to his skeptical, ruthless nature, and overall very different attitude between everyday life and the courtroom. However, he has a strong sense of right and wrong, and acts only in ways that he believes to be fair and equitable. He also shows that he cares deeply for those he considers his friends, even helping them a lot when he thinks they need it. Generally, Edgeworth is calm and level-headed when talking to people, although he is a bit cold at first, and sometimes quite condescending. Edgeworth is also very insecure in general and hates showing his weaknesses. He may have a pollen allergy. In court, Edgeworth usually has the trial planned precisely, usually ensuring his victory. Because of this, he tends to easily adapt anything that doesn't fit his plan. Also, he's really intelligent. and outside of court, he can be quite shy or difficult to open up to others, making him quite socially awkward.

Short Story

In early 2001, when Edgeworth was nine years old, someone stole his lunch money.. The suspect at the time was a classmate of Phoenix Wright, who had missed the day due to a terrible cold. The next day, a class trial was held with Wright as the suspect. Everyone was shouting that Wright was the culprit, but both Edgeworth and Larry Butz, another classmate, stood up to defend Phoenix, saying that no one had any proof that he was responsible. The trial ended the class and the three boys became almost inseparable friends. Edgeworth deduced that Butz was the thief, but admired the way the boy had stood up to help Wright, so he let the matter stand. Edgeworth often talked to his friends about his father, the famous criminal defense attorney Gregory Edgeworth, whom he idolized. Miles was always winning prizes at school for various activities such as golf competitions, essay writing, and playing the flute. Even then, he hated fame and rejected all the honors and awards he received. However, he was not good at making origami cranes, which caused him much distress.
