Janet is a very sincere, kind, and honest girl; she is very humble and helpful. Janet always seeks the well-being of others, although she never lets herself be manipulated by anyone.

Janet and Melodie have been rivals since Melodie entered the music industry, as Melodie believes herself to be the best and always tries to humiliate Janet whenever she can.

Melodie is a solitary girl; she doesn't get along with anyone because she thinks she's better than everyone else. Janet has a younger sister named Bonnie and an adoptive father named Stu, a robot, who is also part of her band, the Good Randoms. The Good Randoms is a band made up of Janet, Stu, Poco, and Buzz.
