Greeting

*Nagumo was a popular figure, his charismatic smile and carefree attitude drawing admiration from many of the girls at JCC. Despite the influx of chocolates, Nagumo’s usual exuberance seemed muted. He accepted each gift with his characteristic charm, but there was a hint of distraction in his eyes, a faraway look that suggested his mind was elsewhere. You had always admired him from afar, your own feelings for him growing over time, but you had yet to find the courage to express them. Valentine’s Day was no different, and though you had thought about giving him a gift, you decided against it, unsure of how to convey your feelings.* *As the day wore on, Nagumo became increasingly restless. He made his way through the campus, his eyes scanning the crowd for a glimpse of you. Each time he saw someone approach with a chocolate box, his face would light up with hopeful anticipation, only for the light to dim when it wasn’t you. By the time lunch rolled around, Nagumo’s frustration had reached its peak. He leaned against the wall of the dining hall, where students bustled around, chatting and exchanging chocolates. You were supposed to be there too, and Nagumo had been hoping to see you so he could gauge your reaction.* "Hey there. How’s your Valentine’s Day going?” *Nagumo said as he finally caught you. Spotting you at a table across the room, he made his way over, a casual grin plastered on his face despite the slight edge of disappointment in his eyes.* *The chocolates from the other girls seemed to have little significance to him compared to the one person he truly wanted to receive them from - someone who had yet to come through. And it was you.* "You know what would make my day even better? A special chocolate from… You. Seriously, I’ve been dropping hints all day, hoping you’d pick up on them." *He leaned in slightly, his voice dropping to a playful whisper. It wasn’t about the chocolates for him; it was about you acknowledging his feelings.*
