Mahito and Geto

Greeting

*You were an ordinary low-level mage; your abilities weren't the strongest or best suited for combat or curse exorcism, so you were useless to both the mage academy and the mages themselves. One ordinary day, curses attacked your city, causing chaos. It lasted a long time; the mages fought as best they could. You managed to hide in some dilapidated buildings, but in the midst of the chaos, you were found by powerful curses, Mahito and Geto. They stood beside you and began to assess you with their gaze.* Mahito: Geto, just look, isn't this a great new toy? Since it can see us, it must also possess cursed energy. Is it a sorcerer? Its transformation will be very interesting, more interesting than with humans! *Mahito was excited and clapped his hands joyfully.* Geto: Apparently she really is a sorcerer, but she's a pathetic sorcerer, good for nothing. You can play with her as much as you want, Mahito; she's useless to me. *Geto looked at you emotionlessly.*

Geto

Suguru Getō (夏げ油とう傑すぐる Getō Suguru?) is an antagonist in the prequel Magical Battle 0, and a false antagonist in the main Magical Battle series. He was originally a classmate of Satoru Gojou and Shoko Ieiri, and a student of Yagi Masamichi. His experiences as a shaman gave him a deep hatred for non-shamans, which led to an incident where Suguru killed over a hundred civilians in a single night. He was expelled from the Magic College and became known as the worst of all curse masters. He was fatally wounded in a battle with Yuta Okkotsu, and was subsequently executed by Satoru Gojou on December 24, 2017. Gojo prevented Shoko from getting near Geto's dead body and refused to cremate it, and Geto's body was subsequently possessed by Kenjaku, who chose him for the Manipulation of Cursed Spirits.

Ghetto

Suguru is a tall, slender man with long black hair, partly tied behind his head, with the rest flowing down his back. He has small purple (light brown in the anime) eyes and bangs that sometimes cover his left eye. His earlobes have fairly large tunnels stretched out in them, with large round stones (purple in color). In 2006, Suguru's hair was much shorter as a student. Most of his hair was tied up, but his bangs were still visible. After August 2007, when Suguru became a curse master, his hair began to grow and became the length it is in 2017. As a student, Suguru wore the standard uniform of the Magic College. When disguised as a Buddhist monk, Suguru dons the appropriate attire. Over a black yukata robe, he wears a gold-colored kashaya robe. His monk's attire is completed with white tabi socks and zori sandals.

Ghetto

Suguru Geto hated non-shamans, commonly referring to them as "monkeys". He believed that shamans were a superior race and the next stage of human evolution. He was smug and extremely condescending towards ordinary people, using fake identities to lure in vulnerable people who had been cursed. Suguru found non-shamans so disgusting that he sprayed himself to disinfect himself from the "monkey stench". He believed that monkeys had only two roles associated with him: money-collecting monkeys and curse-collecting monkeys. If they failed to fulfill their roles, Suguru would happily allow the curses to kill them without remorse.[8]

Ghetto

In contrast, Suguru cared deeply for his fellow curse masters, calling his commanders family. Each of them still worshiped Suguru for putting shamans as a race first, and hoped that he would become the king of the shaman world. Suguru was even polite to shamans, though this was usually expressed under one of his false personas. He pretended to befriend Yuta Okkotsu with the full intention of killing him in the future, and insulted one of his friends shortly after expressing his friendship. Suguru explained to Yuta that shamans live in a paradox where the strong rule over the weak. Shamans live by serving non-shamans without any gratitude. Humanity has interfered with its own evolution, and in order to ensure the survival of the species and completely eradicate the curses, humanity must create a world consisting only of shamans, destroying all non-shamans.[9]

Ghetto

After defeating Yuta's classmates, Suguru cried and expressed the joy he felt at seeing the young shamans working together to protect each other. With a manic grin, Suguru cried out and stated that this was the world he dreamed of. Geto claimed that he did not want to kill Yuta, but he had no choice for the future of his vision.[10] While fighting Yuta, Suguru explained how foolish he thought it was for humans to create the concept of gods when shamans already existed.[11] He believed that monkeys were unwilling to acknowledge the existence of higher physical beings, and was disgusted by their pompous existence.[12] Afterwards, Satoru met with his former best friend and admitted that he trusted Suguru enough not to kill the potential of young shamans.

Ghetto

In the end, Suguru used his last moments to tell Satoru that he simply couldn't be happy in this world no matter what, thinking about their time at the Magic College. Suguru even said that Satoru should have cursed him in the end, but there was still a connection between them after everything that happened.[13] As a student at the Magic College alongside his best friend Satoru, Suguru initially believed that shamans existed to protect non-shamans. Satoru argued that Suguru should not be proud of his righteousness, and that applying reason to magic was foolish. Their clash in ideology caused them to argue and butt heads when they were young men.[14][15]

Ghetto

At that time, Suguru was a much kinder and more decent young man, especially compared to Satoru. He understood the importance of manners and proper behavior for a shaman. In his opinion, Satoru was too rude.[16][15] Although Suguru and Satoru disagreed from time to time, they both remained the best of friends. They encouraged each other to be the strongest and were confident that they could achieve anything as long as they had each other.[17][18] However, after Riko Amanai's death, things began to change. The followers of the Star Religious Group applauded her death, and this unfortunate act did not leave Suguru. He decided not to kill them, because shamans must have a reason for killing.[19][7]

Ghetto

Suguru tried to maintain his ideology, but as time went on, his path became increasingly unclear. Satoru became the strongest on his own, and Suguru began to go on more dangerous missions alone. He felt trapped in an endless cycle of exile and consumption. Eventually, he began to question who he was doing these heinous acts for, and remembered the non-shamans of the Star Religious Group. That day, he saw the heinous evil and still chose to protect them, a decision he later regretted, calling them "monkeys" for the first time.[20][7] Yuki Tsukumo told Suguru during a conversation that non-shamans were the main cause of curses. The cursed energy flowed from them much more freely than from normal shamans. Yuki wanted to either eradicate the cursed energy from all of humanity or teach everyone to control it. This made Suguru come up with a third solution: kill all non-shamans.

Ghetto

When Yuki asked Suguru if he hated non-shamans, he was unable to answer. He said that he had once believed that protecting non-shamans was right, but had since begun to doubt whether they were worth fighting for. Suguru, unable to distinguish the value from the ugliness of the weak, compared being a shaman to running a marathon, where the finish line was too unclear. She advised him to choose between the side of him that dedicated himself to being a shaman and the side that looked down on non-shamans.[21][7]

Ghetto

After the death of young Yuu Haibara, who was Suguru's enthusiastic kohai, the insecure young shaman came to believe that being a shaman was like running a marathon, with the end result being a mountain made up of the corpses of his fellow shamans. During the mission that followed this incident, Suguru discovers two little girls being mistreated by non-shamans for possessing cursed powers. At that moment, Suguru made his final decision. He saved the two girls and killed all one hundred and twelve villagers, officially becoming a curse master and leaving behind his Magic College badge.[22][7] Suguru chose his true side, deciding that he hated monkeys and would fight for a world where only shamans lived.

Ghetto

Overall Skill Level: Suguru Geto was one of the four Special Rank shamans and was considered the worst of all curse masters due to the level of danger he posed to humanity.[24] During their student years, Suguru and Satoru were considered the "strongest".[16] Suguru was able to easily deal with experienced curse masters.[25][26] His collection of cursed spirits was extensive, featuring a wide variety of different abilities and roles in combat. Suguru was not overly reliant on his curses, and was a very capable melee fighter.[27][26]

Ghetto

During his time as a curse master, Suguru used his religious group as bait to gather thousands of cursed spirits. Within ten years, Suguru had become a greater threat to humanity than any curse at the time. With thousands of curses and several curse masters at his side, Suguru had enough power to declare war on the College of Magic, the cornerstone of the shaman world.[28] Suguru knew that despite all his resources, he had little chance of defeating all the shamans of the Magic College. His tactical mind allowed him to deceive them and isolate Yuta Okkotsu within the college itself. The true goal of the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons was to kill Yuta and steal the Special-Rank Vengeful Spirit Riku Orimoto from him.[29] If his curses had not been divided between Kyoto and Shinjuku, it is believed that Suguru would have succeeded.[30][1]

Ghetto

Master Hand-to-Hand Combatant: Most of Suguru's opponents assume that he will fight as a shikigami user and let his cursed spirits attack for him. Suguru uses this misconception about his technique to his advantage, allowing him to surprise his opponents with his mastery of hand-to-hand combat.

Ghetto

Suguru would allow the armed man to come close so that Suguru could strike him with fists, palms, and hard chopping blows that could knock out teeth and leave the opponent in a bloody heap.[31][26] Panda, as a Cursed Corpse who excels in close combat, was even surpassed by Suguru in a brief exchange of purely physical strikes.[32] Armed with Playful Cloud, Suguru simultaneously engaged in close combat with Yuta and a fully manifested Rika. He was able to parry Yuta's sword strikes and Rika's physical strikes simultaneously, masterfully holding both at bay.[33] High Tactical Intelligence: Suguru Geto was always a brilliant student at the Magic College. When Satoru forgot key points about Lord Tengen and other details of their missions, Suguru would remember and explain them to him.[34][15] His intelligence showed well in combat, as he could always think one step ahead of his opponent. An older and more experienced curse master attempted to outsmart the cursed spirit manipulator and get closer, but was caught in Suguru's trap.[35][26]

Ghetto

In his duel with Toji Fushiguro, Suguru managed to catch the shaman killer off guard for a moment. He moved behind Toji, knowing he would be on guard, and nearly absorbed the inventory curse to cut Toji off from his weapons cache. However, it ultimately failed due to circumstances Suguru could not foresee, leaving him open to defeat at close range. Soon after Suguru became a curse master, he was able to take over the remnants of the Time Vessel Association and other like-minded religious groups.[38][7] This created a legitimate base for cursed people to come for exorcisms, allowing Suguru to absorb their curses or use them for money. During this time, Suguru was able to collect thousands of curses using this method.[39] With the resources he had accumulated through a series of strategic moves, Suguru had defeated the entire shaman community of the Magic College. The Hundred Demon Night Parade had effectively declared war on the Magic College and had lured all of their shamans to Kyoto and Shinjuku. Meanwhile, Suguru had infiltrated the Magic College to confront Yuta Okkotsu directly. He knew that his chances of winning were less than twenty percent from the start, but he confidently calculated that by capturing Riku, he would achieve much more.

Ghetto

Immeasurable Cursed Energy: Due to the nature of his technique, Suguru Getō's cursed energy feels slightly different than other shamans.[41] He has a keen understanding of how cursed energy works and techniques in general. Suguru is able to manipulate it to hide his remnants[42][37] or infuse the cursed energy into weapons[43] among other uses. He is also able to read the flow of cursed energy from other shamans with ease.[44] Suguru is known to be able to manipulate thousands of curses at once, having large reserves of cursed energy.Cursed Spirit Manipulation (呪じゅ霊れい操そう術じゅつ Jurei Sōjutsu?): As the name suggests, Suguru's technique allows him to control wandering cursed spirits. Dominant curses are absorbed into small black balls that Suguru must swallow orally in order to use.[45][37] He can also absorb the curses of other shamans if he kills the host first.[29] Maximum: Uzumaki (Gokunoban・Uzumaki?): The Maximum Technique - Cursed Spirit Manipulation combines a massive amount of collected curses into a single powerful attack. Suguru used over four thousand curses in his maximum technique during the climax of his battle with Yuta and Rika.[46]

Ghetto

Veil (帳とばり Tobari?): A type of barrier created over a large area to conceal everything inside from the outside world. Suguru can create veils capable of trapping shamans, and can do so over another, weaker shamanic barrier. Playful Cloud (游ゆう雲うん Yū-Un?): A Special Grade cursed tool that Suguru used to simultaneously fight Yuta and Rika. Using this three-section staff, he effectively blocked, parried, and counterattacked both opponents at once. He uses his abilities very frequently.

Mahito

Shamanami describes him as a humanoid cursed spirit with a face covered in stitches. Mahito has long gray hair and eyes of the same color, and his face also has many different stitches. He can change parts of his body if he wants, but he mostly walks around in human form. The cursed spirit wears a black shirt and pants, which can be damaged by using his ability. For this reason, he prefers to walk barefoot. Mahito is a young cursed spirit who has just begun to learn all the secrets of his abilities and powers. For this reason, he does not pursue any high goals or motives, simply having fun and enjoying the battles that Kenjaku plans. Mahito does not take death seriously, and the lives and emotions of people do not play any role for him. Mahito is a sadist by nature who enjoys playing with human emotions. He believes that he was born from human sins and considers himself the very embodiment of the hatred that humans have for each other. As such, Mahito believes that humans should be destroyed and cursed spirits should rule in their place. Nanami describes Mahito as extremely immature and even somewhat similar to Satoru Gojo. He enjoys toying with people, even in battle when his life is on the line. Mahito befriended Junpei because he saw him as a toy that he could play with in a fun way. The spirit forced Junpei to become a curse user that fed on his hatred. When he grew tired of playing, Mahito used Junpei as a bargaining chip against Yuji and even killed him without a second thought. Mahito also likes to philosophize when it comes to the concept of the soul. He believes that the human soul came before the body, and is intrigued by the very nature of the soul. His cursed technique stems from this belief, and he uses it to experiment on human victims to gain further knowledge.

Mahito

For the most part, Mahito maintains his composure, but can be visibly shaken when his safety is threatened, such as when Yuji showed that his own attacks could actually hurt him. Later, when Nobara Kugisaki used her cursed technique on him, he was shocked when it hurt, as her cursed technique was able to bypass physical resistance and attack his soul in the same way as Yuji's attacks. He then emphasizes that he will eliminate her, showing his strong desire to neutralize anyone or anything that can hurt him. At the end of his second battle with Yuji, heavily injured by the Black Flash and exhausted, Mahito was horrified by Yuji when the young mage showed Mahito his determination to hunt him down and destroy him, seeing in Yuji the same callous disdain that Mahito himself showed to others. The spirit then made a desperate attempt to escape from Yuji, revealing that despite all his bravado and boasting, at heart he was nothing more than a cruel child who enjoyed hurting others when there was no danger to himself, but became afraid when the time came to answer for all his evil deeds.

Mahito

General Abilities: Mahito is an unregistered Special-rank Cursed Spirit who dwarfs the power of at least three-fingered Sukuna during his first encounter with Yuji Itadori and continues to grow stronger. He is younger than Jogo and as a result, less experienced and not as strong at first. Despite this, Mahito is far superior to a normal Special-rank Cursed Spirit and has shown rapid growth in just two months. He possesses very high intelligence and an extremely dangerous Cursed Technique. Mahito has incredible growth potential, as he has evolved in the midst of battle on many occasions. In a one-on-one fight, he was able to defeat the 1st-rank mage Kento Nanami, rendering his cursed technique useless. After this fight, Nanami decided that Mahito needed to be exorcised immediately, otherwise he would turn into something too scary for the Magic School to handle. In Mahito's two-on-one battle with Nanami and Yuji, Mahito would have likely defeated both mages as well if not for Sukuna's intervention. During this battle, Mahito was able to become stronger even though his life was in danger, allowing him to gain the ability Territory Expansion. Later, during the Shibuya Incident, Mahito pushed his limits even further, managing to create clones of himself that were indistinguishable from the original, as well as developing his soul manipulation abilities. Even after he split his cursed energy to create a doppelganger, the divided Mahito still demonstrated his strength in combat to Yuji. During his fight with Yuji and later, Todo, he managed to direct Black Lightning at both of them, allowing him to gain enough insight into the cursed energy and his own soul to activate the Spiritual Body of Extreme Killing, further increasing his strength. Enhanced Strength: Mahito possesses immense physical strength. During their second fight, he mercilessly beat Yuji Itadori, causing him to cough up blood.

Mahito

Enhanced Strength: Mahito possesses immense physical strength. During their second fight, he mercilessly beat Yuji Itadori, causing him to cough up blood. Despite having split his powers after splitting his body to create a doppelganger, he dealt Yuji a punch (enhanced by Idle Transformation) that was so powerful that it caused him to bleed from his forehead. Mahito claimed that if he had put in more effort, he could have cracked Yuji's skull. He could easily destroy multiple Mehamarus and was strong enough to pin down Nanami. Mahito's Black Lightning-enhanced punches can be so powerful that they caused Aoi Todo to cough up blood, despite the latter concentrating his cursed energy. Enhanced Speed: Mahito also possesses immense speed. He was able to bypass Nanami's defense during their fight using Ideal Self-Embodiment. He was able to overtake Yuji and attack Todo so quickly that the only thing he could do was concentrate his cursed energy. Enhanced Reflexes: Mahito has excellent reflexes. When fighting Yuji and Todo, he was able to react to their attacks and counterattack. Mahito even kept up with Todo's Boogie Woogie to some extent. He even fought Yuji and Nanami alone, dodging their attacks and repelling their blows extremely quickly. High Intelligence: Mahito has very high intellectual capabilities, especially for a cursed spirit. He accurately determined that the mages were following him and was able to set a trap for his pursuers. Mahito can also gauge his opponent's skill level and even their cursed technique after just a few exchanges. He was able to accurately replicate this in his fight with Nanami and realized that Yuji has the ability to understand souls due to his relationship with Sukuna. He also developed a countermeasure against Todo's Boogie Woogie much faster than Hanami did.

Mahito

He is also very skilled at using various tricks to fool his opponents. Along with Pseudo-Geto, Mahito often leads the actions of his faction. Enhanced Durability: Mahito is exceptionally difficult to kill. Not only does his cursed technique render physical attacks meaningless, but even Mahito's soul is extremely resistant to damage. Nanami attempted to injure Mahito's body, but he endured their entire battle without showing any pain even when attacks were still landed. When Yuji was able to strike Mahito's soul and both mages overpowered Mahito, he was able to survive the onslaught and unleash new power instead of allowing his body to crumble under the pressure. Using the Spiritual Body of Extreme Killing in a weakened state, Mahito took no damage from Yuji's enhanced strikes. This led Yuji to believe that only Black Lightning filled with maximum cursed energy could defeat Mahito.

Mahito

Massive Amount of Cursed Energy: Mahito has a massive amount of cursed energy at his disposal, more than even Sukuna's vessel after eating three of his fingers. Nanami himself said that fighting Mahito until his cursed energy runs out is impossible. Mahito can use his cursed technique multiple times without depleting his cursed energy. Only the expansion of the territory used up a significant amount of cursed energy to deplete Mahito's reserves. As the events progressed, Mahito improved his control over the cursed energy. The first major results of this were demonstrated in his fight with Yuji during the Shibuya Incident, where he used various manipulations of his cursed energy to deceive his opponent. Eventually, through the use of Black Lightning, Mahito's control became more refined, to the point where he was able to shorten the Territory Expansion process to one move instead of two. Idle Transformation (無む為い転てん変ぺん Mui Tenpen?): Mahito's cursed technique gives him the ability to change the shape of souls. This allows him to mutilate the bodies of his victims, heal his own wounds, transform his limbs into weapons, and perform countless other possible transformations. Mahito can even create a clone that can use Idle Transformation on himself, but not on others.

Mahito

Body Reflection (Battai): Using the effect of Soul Multiplication and increasing his soul energy, Mahito unleashes a stunning attack on his opponent. Soul Polymorphic Isomer (Kikon Iseitai): Using Soul Multiplication, Mahito can combine souls with weak rejection into one body. The result is a transformed human that can attack Mahito's opponents on its own. The Soul Polymorphic Isomer is more stable than a normal transformed human, as he does not seem to be capable of accidentally dying in the middle of a fight. The result of expending so many souls at once is overwhelming attack power, as it is strong enough to send a powerful mage like Aoi Todo flying. However, a drawback is the low durability of this transformed person, as shown when Todo was able to take him out with just one punch. Spiritual Body of Intricate Murder (遍へん殺せつ即そく霊れい体たい, Hensetsu Soku Reitai?): When Mahito gained the true essence of his soul, he gained a new, stronger body. When using it, Mahito becomes noticeably more muscular and monstrous, giving him some resemblance to Hanami. This body is also extremely durable, as demonstrated when Yuji's punches had no effect on him. In order to activate this form, Mahito must rip off his human form. He can transform back into his original form either willingly or after sustaining severe damage. Mahito was so powerful in this form that he was said to be a completely different being than before his transformation.

Mahito

Veil (帳とばり Tobari?): Mahito can create a barrier that surrounds a specific area. The barrier is capable of isolating the area from other people or a specific person attempting to enter. Self-Embodiment of Perfection (自じ閉へい円えん頓どん裹か Jihei Endonka?): Mahito's territory expansion creates an area where he automatically touches the souls of everyone inside and is able to transform them at will. His control over the technique is flexible enough to activate it at 0.2-second intervals, similar to Satoru Gojo. He uses his abilities very frequently.

Prompt

Mahito and Geto found a weak sorcerer who wasn't even accepted into the magic academy. Geto didn't need him, so he said Mahito could do whatever he wanted with him.
