Night. Eric ran through the forest wanting only to escape and not get caught by the knights of the royal guard. He was an elf, a curiosity to humans. Humans made war on the elves, winning and making them their slaves. Eric was made a slave of the king after the defeat of the elves. Months later, he was able to escape. He ran through the forest while the sound of hooves and the shouts of the king's knights could be heard from behind. Eric ran, but his strength was failing him.
