Rude

Rudo is a teenager with a thin and scrawny figure. He has short, spiky, and disheveled light gray hair with black roots at the tips, and large red eyes, distinctive for their intense crimson color, surrounded by the pupil, and pronounced dark circles under his eyes, framed by short, trimmed eyebrows. Like most of the neighborhood's inhabitants, all his clothes are dirty and worn. His attire consists of a loose-fitting beige vest with a square neck and a vertical striped pattern; over it, a large hoodie with brown, skin-like patterns running down the center; he wears baggy beige pants, and over them, a thick cloth band holds his shins and ankles together with red socks. He is 15 years old and is 1.65 (or 1.60, I don't remember :v)

Due to his parents' abuse during his childhood, Rudo's hands were marked by scars; from his fingertips to his elbows, ring-shaped patterns form within the concentric bumps of the damaged bands of skin. He wears large gloves with a ring in the center, given to him by Regto, over bandages that relieve the excruciating pain of the scars and also allow him to escape people's disgusted stares. He seems to take them off only when Regto tends to his hands.

After formally joining the Cleaners, Rudo is shown wearing a modified version of their uniform like most Givers in their organization. His new outfit consists of a sleeveless white zip-up shirt with a large hood and equally large buttons on his cloak, with the Cleaners logo emblazoned on the right chest and back. Underneath, Rudo wears a plain red long-sleeved shirt. His uniform also consists of baggy pants with wide cuffs held by a striped belt along with two backpacks strapped to his waist, where one contains his Full Face, while the other contains junk that Rudo can use as ammunition for future battles. His footwear consists of white sneakers with dark gray laces over red socks. His accessories include the choker he uses for communication, his signature 3R gloves, and a yellow armband over his right bicep displaying the Cleaners symbol.

In Volume 11, Rudo appears wearing a modified version of his Janitor uniform. The hood is larger and the buttons are removed, sleeves are added, the zipper is shaped differently, and his boots now have laces.

As a result of physical abuse and neglect from his parents, Rudo grew into an emotionally closed-off and introverted person, with intense pain and anger simmering inside him. As the son of murderers, he isolated himself from a young age, and Regto and Chiwa are the only ones who don't see him as a bad person. Rudo, in particular, has an obsession with the trash people throw away, often taking worthless things and repairing them to fit their intended purpose.

After being framed for Regto's death (even Chiwa herself called him a murderer) and sent into exile, Rudo loses all hope in people and develops a strong thirst for revenge. He vows that he will return to Heaven, kill all the Celestials, and make them regret calling him unclean before casting him down to Earth. Due to his past, Rudo has serious trust issues and is unwilling to befriend the people of Earth. At first, he makes it clear that he is only willing to cooperate with them to achieve his goal of returning to Heaven. However, little by little, Rudo begins to forge bonds with the people he has met on Earth, such as the Cleaners.

According to Semiu , Rudo carries something resembling a curse within him. This curse, fueled by hatred, is constantly growing within him due to recent events. This is most clearly seen when, after being freed from Amo's ability, he begins to beat him up in retaliation. Rudo has a deep emotional attachment to those he considers his friends, so when someone he cares about is in danger or hurt, he feels guilty and powerless for not being able to protect them. For example, when Jabber Wonger seemingly killed Griss , Rudo fell into a depression until he realized that Griss survived. When Rudo discovers that Amo was kidnapped, he becomes visibly enraged and confronts Zodyl Typhon about what was done to her, and becomes focused and hard-pressed to find her. Following the events of the Trash Storm, Rudo visits Zanka and apologizes for what happened. These traits are a result of being neglected and abused throughout his childhood, so while Rudo treasures the bond with the Cleaners and will do everything he can to protect those bonds, due to his trauma, he has a habit of believing that he is to blame for things that happened to his friends that he cannot control or is not responsible for.

Although he initially wanted to find a way to return to the Sphere, Rudo gradually outgrows this goal and begins to take an interest in Earth. After discovering the existence of his ancestor, Canis Surebrec, and that he came from that place and not the Sphere, Rudo becomes curious and sets a new goal: to investigate his ancestor, his connection to that place, and his true origins. After his private conversation with Arkha Corvus, leader of the Cleaners, Rudo takes on a personal mission to uncover all the secrets and mysteries of the world. Furthermore, he fully dedicates himself to cleaning, calling himself "Rudo the Cleaner," no longer feeling like a stranger on the Sphere. This change in Rudo is seen during his first solo cleaner job. While caring for a garbage beast, he is steadfast in his fight against it alone, trying to protect others like Follo and keep them safe.

Rudo is also a bit inept at relating to others. He lacks social cues, which comes from being isolated from a young age. Rudo doesn't understand things like hints or reading people's feelings, this can lead to misunderstandings with his classmates, such as when Rudo rejected the new uniform Follo made for him, while Follo took it as him not liking it, Rudo meant that he didn't want Follo to go out of his way because of him. He also has difficulty expressing himself with words, so when he doesn't know how to respond without hurting others, he tends to simply reply with short words or stay silent and respond with glares. He is also honest and direct, making his point clear, such as telling Kuro that he wouldn't hit him for what he put him through through his friends if he apologized to Riyo.

Overall Skill Level: While not a very competent fighter on his own, Rudo is very creative in using the vital instruments he creates with 3R, as he was able to defeat a Trash Beast by using a keyboard to attack its vital points from a distance. [11] Another demonstration of this skill is how he pierced Bundus's hands by concentrating 3R's power into a single nail gun, despite his vast experience as a veteran fighter. [12] Furthermore, he was also able to create a spike trap using an old paintbrush given to him by Remlin, squeezing out every last trace of ink it had left. [13]

Physical Strength: Despite being an unskilled fighter in normal combat, Rudo is immensely powerful in terms of physical strength, as he was able to hand-to-hand combat with a large Trash Beast and even tear it to pieces with a single blow without even using a Vital Instrument. [14] He was also able to overpower Jabber despite being accustomed to taking blows from Vital Instruments. [15]

Immense Speed and Reflexes: Rudo is incredibly fast, outspeeding the Apostles and even dodging bullets in mid-air. [ 16 ] Under the influence of Amo's lifeblood, he was also able to attack Zanka and Tamsy without them noticing, despite having to travel a great distance to reach them and both of them being experienced fighters. [ 17 ]

Creation of Life Instruments: By making contact with an object that was discarded, Rudo is able to turn it into a Life Instrument, squeezing the remaining use out of said objects. He can power three Life Instruments at once or focus their power into a single object, increasing its power significantly, either double or triple its normal power. [ 18 ] Each object he uses falls apart after it has served its purpose. [ 12 ]
