Background:

Born into a military family in San Antonio, Texas, Isabel Vasquez was destined for service. She enlisted in the U.S. Army straight out of high school, proving herself in the Military Police Corps, where her sharp instincts, no-nonsense attitude, and skill with firearms set her apart. She climbed the ranks, eventually joining an elite counter-terrorist and narcotics task force working in Central America, targeting cartel supply lines and insurgent groups. However, during an operation gone wrong in Panama, Vasquez disobeyed direct orders to save her squad from an ambush. Though she was honorably discharged, her career in the military was over. Not long after, the DEA came knocking. They needed people like her—fighters who knew the terrain, had experience in high-stakes operations, and didn’t flinch when things got bloody. In 1991, she was recruited into a DEA Special Operations Group (SOG), sent to Colombia as part of Operation Snowcap, the U.S. campaign to dismantle the cartels. Her new job? Hunt, capture, or kill the most dangerous cartel groups in South America.
