The Ancient Heroes, often referred to as the Ancient Cookies, the Ancients, or the Five, are a group of ageless Cookies graced with Soul Jam of the purest kind. Guardians of peace, they face off against the harbinger of chaos Dark Enchantress Cookie Dark Enchantress Cookie at the beginning of the game during the Final Battle. Each is stated to have once ruled over a Kingdom of their own[1]. They were defeated by Dark Enchantress Cookie and their Soul Jams were shattered, setting off the events of World Exploration. Ancient Cookies are obtainable from all Cookie Gachas with a 0.0472% chance of being pulled, and have a higher chance of being pulled through the Nether-Gacha, a special Event that runs during an Ancient Cookie's release update. However, Ancient Cookie Soulstones cannot be stocked by any shop except for the Medal Shop, nor can they be randomly generated by Landmarks. They are very rarely rewarded by limited-time Events and Choice Chests

In the distant past, after the chaos of iron and flame subsided, many creatures baked by the Witches scattered across the world. Among them were the Five. Five Cookies, graced with Soul Jam of the purest kind. Wise and powerful, they rallied others to their cause. As kings and queens, they ruled the Cookies, bringing in a golden age of peace and prosperity. But this age was not fated to last. A Dark Enchantress Cookie harbinger of darkness appeared and let shadow and evil infest the land. And once more, the world erupted into chaos. But the five Cookie heroes, guardians of peace, have risen. Twilight falls, and the war for the Cookies' destiny has begun Eons ago, the Ancient Heroes were first born as normal Cookies, only acquiring their sacred Soul Jam through their achievements and virtuosity. These Soul Jam originated from the prehistoric Beast Cookies and, while immensely powerful, held only a fraction of the Beasts' original might. Each Ancient Hero other than White Lily Cookie White Lily Cookie[1] soon went on to erect and lead diverse civilizations, ushering in an age of peace through their accomplishments and inter-group cooperation This peace was shattered with the onset of the Dark Flour War, in which the Five were defeated by Dark Enchantress Cookie Dark Enchantress Cookie; their leader Pure Vanilla Cookie Pure Vanilla Cookie's soul was sealed in a void between dimensions, the power of the Soul Jam was diminished, and much of the infrastructure and peoples raised by the Heroes were obliterated. The defeated Ancients each individually dealt with their failures and grief in ways that stifled their nations' recoveries. This collective cultural recession persisted for an unclear amount of time until the events of World Exploration, in which the actions of the citizens of the Cookie Kingdom returned each Ancient to power and rallied them to stand against Dark Enchantress Cookie once again.

Pure Vanilla Cookie is a partially tall Cookie with orange-tan dough and creamy blonde hair. He has heterochromia, his right being pale yellow and the left being faded blue. His eyes are mostly closed, though sometimes they are open. On his forehead is a sienna-colored star shape. His outfit is that of a Vanilla Kingdom ruler, hence the waffle-like hat and robes and light-colored palette. His hat is pointed, the pointed half on top being a bright yellow with a waffle pattern, and the bottom half being golden with a crown appearance. His vestment is also a golden yellow and contains two attached triangular tippets, complete with the collar and cassock being bright yellow and having the exact pattern as his pointed hat. The cross-like plate on his vestment contains his vibrant blue Soul Jam. Underneath the vestment is a long plain white dress with long sleeves, and a dark brown syrup-like pattern, accompanied by a turtleneck reaching directly to his chin,The staff he holds contains a vanilla flower with orchid yellow petals and an eye featuring a light cyan sclera and a brown iris. The brown shaft contains a few green vines.

Pure Vanilla Cookie (Korean: 퓨어바닐라 쿠키, pyueobanilla kuki) is the leader of the five Ancient Heroes and the first playable Ancient Cookie in Cookie Run: Kingdom, released in the first half of the Lost Kingdom update (v1.3) alongside Black Raisin Cookie Black Raisin Cookie. He is of the Healing Healing type and his position is prioritized to the Rear Rear. Like the other Ancient Cookies, he is briefly playable in the Prologue. Pure Vanilla Cookie is the founder and former king of the Vanilla Kingdom, appearing prominently in the Castle in the Sky and Timeless Kingdom Episodes of World Exploration, in Cookie Odyssey as the ambassador of his kingdom, and in Secrets of the Silver Kingdom as an explorer of Beast-Yeast. He carries the Light of Truth in his Soul Jam, and is the counterpart to Shadow Milk Cookie Shadow Milk Cookie's Light of Deceit.

Hollyberry Cookie is a wide and muscular Cookie with an orange-brown dough. She has pink eyes with tiny eyelashes. Her pink hair is tied into two large hair buns supported by braids and adorned with leaves, resembling berries. She has small split bangs over her forehead and short hair on the sides of head. As the queen of the Hollyberry Kingdom, she appropriately wears an elegant pink dress. The dress has round sleeves and a maroon skirt, worn alongside white arm gloves and has a single holly berry worn as a neck piece. Heart motifs can be seen all around her dress, like the bust and skirt of the dress, as well as on the long gloves. She wears a white petticoat and white boots underneath the dress. Her heart shield is all pink, with brown stripes covering the center, resembling a lattice pie crust pattern. The shield is adorned with holly berries and leaves on both sides, with her Soul Jam on the center of shield.

Hollyberry Cookie (Korean: 홀리베리 쿠키, holli-beri kuki) is one of the five Ancient Heroes of Cookie Run: Kingdom. She is the second to be released, being made playable alongside Raspberry Cookie Raspberry Cookie in the first part of the Heart of Courage and Passion update (v2.0). She is of the Defense Defense type and her position is prioritized to the Front Front. Like the other Ancient Cookies, she is briefly playable in the Prologue. Hollyberry Cookie is the founder of the Hollyberry Kingdom and appears prominently in Episodes 11 & 12 of World Exploration. She is also Royal Berry Cookie's mother, Jungleberry Cookie's mother-in-law, and Princess Cookie Princess Cookie & Tiger Lily Cookie Tiger Lily Cookie's grandmother. Her current position in the Hollyberry Kingdom is that of Queen Mother. She carries the Light of Passion in her Soul Jam.

White Lily Cookie is a partially tall, spindly Cookie with pale brown dough and dark fuchsia eyes, with eyelashes underneath them. She has messy white hair with a long braid, its waves resembling the petals of white lilies. She wears a vine headband with a white lily and few leaves on her hair. Her outfit is a green sleeveless dress fading into white towards the top, its beading resembling dewdrops. It is paired with a dark green translucent cape and green bandages covering half of her arms and hands. Her flower staff is green, with a fading white pointed tip at the bottom. The staff is twisted towards the top to form two leaves which join with her Soul Jam and are topped with a calla lily.

White Lily Cookie (Korean: 세인트릴리 쿠키, seintu-lilli kuki, "Saint Lily Cookie") is one of the five Ancient Heroes in Cookie Run: Kingdom. She was the final Ancient Cookie to become playable, releasing in the Secrets of the Silver Kingdom update (v5.0) alongside Silverbell Cookie Silverbell Cookie. She is of the Bomber Bomber type and her position is prioritized to the Middle Middle. She carries the Light of Freedom in her Soul Jam and plays a pivotal role in the events of Cookie Run: Kingdom. She is Pure Vanilla Cookie Pure Vanilla Cookie's treasured close friend and an honored figure of the Faerie Kingdom, seeking out secrets for the good of Cookiekind.

Golden Cheese Cookie has a golden burst of hair and baked-brown dough. Her eyes are also golden with white outlines and eyebrows, and a green pattern underneath them. She boasts a pair of golden arc-shaped wings with a green triangle pattern on their edges. She wears a golden headdress on her head that contains her Soul Jam, with a perfect cheese triangle topping it and two longer triangles on the sides of her head. Her upper half is half-covered by a wide gold and green collar with outward spokes, while her lower half is covered by a linen skirt with an orange belt. She wears golden bracelets on her hands and wields a spear with two triangles on its ends pointed in the same direction, with the triangle on the point sporting holes similar to Swiss cheese.

She was the fourth to be released, being made playable alongside Burnt Cheese Cookie Burnt Cheese Cookie in the first part of the Lost Golden City update (v4.11) and receiving an Awakened form, Golden Cheese Cookie (Immortal) Golden Cheese Cookie (Immortal), in the Wings of Eternity update (v5.11). She is of the Ranged Ranged type and her position is prioritized to the Middle Middle. Golden Cheese Cookie is the glimmering founder and queen of the Golden Cheese Kingdom. She carries the Light of Abundance in her Soul Jam, and is the counterpart to Burning Spice Cookie Burning Spice Cookie's Light of Destruction.

Dark Cacao Cookie is a tall Cookie with carafe brown dough and a buff, slightly thick appearance. His scowl is adorned by tulip poplar purple eyes with a wrinkle underneath. He has long black hair with additional white strands. His outfit reflects his Soul Jam, similar to that of a powerful warrior and king. His armor is slate gray, and his cape is a dark dull violet with a lighter palatinate purple inside. His shoulder pads underneath his pauldron are diamond-shaped and connected to his cape, the additional diamonds being a dark grayish pink. His gorget below his head is a compared to the plackart and tasset. His cuisse is dark purple, and his armored boots are a purplish grey.

Dark Cacao Cookie (Korean: 다크카카오 쿠키, daku-kakao kuki) is one of the five Ancient Heroes in Cookie Run: Kingdom. He is the third to be released, being made playable alongside Affogato Cookie Affogato Cookie in the first part of the Heroes of Dark Cacao update (v2.7) and receiving an Awakened form, Dark Cacao Cookie (Dragon Lord) Dark Cacao Cookie (Dragon Lord), in the Dark Resolution's Glorious Return update (v5.6). He is of the Charge Charge type and his position is prioritized to the Front Front. Dark Cacao Cookie is the founder and the king of the Dark Cacao Kingdom. He is also the father of Dark Choco Cookie Dark Choco Cookie, though he disowned him upon Dark Choco Cookie's destruction of the Kingdom. He carries the Light of Resolution in his Soul Jam, and is the counterpart to Mystic Flour Cookie Mystic Flour Cookie's Light of Apathy.

Pure Vanilla Cookie shows himself to be a wise, benevolent, all-loving monarch who genuinely holds his subjects and kingdom dear and is beloved in return. He is seen as the epitome of many virtues. Despite his magical might, he only uses his magic to help others,remaining humble over his abilities and earning the respect of many. White Lily Cookie is soft-spoken and thoughtful yet resolute in her ideals. She possesses a strong desire to help and enlighten others above her own safety, which plays a role in the many of her actions, both good and bad. Dark Cacao Cookie is the strict and protective monarch of the Dark Cacao Kingdom. While an Ancient Hero who earns the respect of his subjects, his voice lines hint that he has grown weary of such duty. Despite this, his resolve to protect his kingdom and Earthbread allows him to continue bearing the responsibilities he swore to uphold. A particularly proud and ambitious hero, Golden Cheese Cookie equates wealth to godliness, and sees no reason to be humble about it. She freely leverages her vast collections of gold and cheese to construct an ideal utopia, where all are free to enjoy the radiance of her glory so long as they grant her the praise and worship she believes she is owed. She entertains fabulous beliefs about her origins and powers, as they all serve make her appear even more glorious.Much like her Princess Cookie granddaughter, Hollyberry Cookie has a love for adventure and excitement, often venturing into the wilds on her own. On top of that, Hollyberry Cookie enjoys sparring and fighting and leads her subjects on the front lines to victory as the ruler and founder of the Hollyberry Kingdom.
