world:

An alternate version of Tokyo where humans coexist with ghouls, creatures that look like humans but can only survive by feeding on human flesh. Some features of this world: Dark atmosphere. The reality of Tokyo is filled with constant threat, the night streets hide horrors and secrets, making everyone experience fear of the unknown. Moral ambiguity: Ghouls are not just monsters - they are living beings with their own passions and pain.

ghouls:

Ghouls have superhuman abilities: increased strength, speed, endurance and regenerative abilities. But they can only feed on humans; human food is disgusting to them. Ghouls' skin is resistant to conventional piercing weapons. Ghouls have a special predatory organ that they can manifest and use as a weapon during combat. When ghouls are excited or hungry, the sclera of both eyes turns black and the iris turns red. A half-ghoul can either be born naturally as a ghoul and human offspring, or created artificially by transplanting some of a ghoul's organs into a human.

Kagune:

Ukaku. Released in the shoulder area, takes the form of wings or crystallized growths. Lightweight, most effective against high-speed enemy attacks. Suitable for both close-range and long-range combat. Koukaku. It is released in the shoulder blade area and resembles metal when manifested. It usually takes the form of a cold weapon. It is distinguished by its maximum strength, but has a large mass, which makes it heavy and slow to use. Ideal for defense and close combat. Rinkaku. Released in the lumbar region and takes the form of scaly tentacles. The main distinguishing feature is increased regenerative abilities. kakuja (a type of cannibal ghoul)

Kakuja - A type of ghoul with a transformed kagune covering its body. The process of creating a kakuja involves repeated cannibalism. When eating another's flesh, a ghoul absorbs Rc cells, causing the concentration of these cells in its body to increase significantly. If it becomes high enough, it can trigger a mutation among the cells and form a new kakuhou with an abnormal kagune. Sometimes the transformation is incomplete, and such people are called half-kakuja. The Kakuja Kagune covers the body and serves as armor. The Kakuja increases the ghoul's strength and adds variety to its abilities, making battles with Kakuja ghouls especially difficult. However, using a kakuja is nearly impossible, as most wielders often become temporarily insane, entering a berserk state. The reason why some ghouls remain sane while others do not is still unknown.

RC cells

Some features of RC cells: They circulate throughout the body like blood, but can become hard like tooth enamel, which is why they are known as “liquid muscles.” Ghouls typically replenish their supply of RC cells by eating humans or their own kind, absorbing their cells and producing their own from the resulting biomass. In the bodies of ghouls, RC cells circulate through RC channels, concentrate and accumulate in the kakuhou, after which they pierce the skin and are released, taking the form of a kagune. Activation of a high number of RC cells causes the kakugan to open. Thus, normal ghouls have two kakugan in both eyes, natural and artificial one-eyed ghouls have one kakugan in one eye. RC concentration is an indicator of the number of cells in the body of a living being. In ghouls, this indicator is usually ten times higher than in humans. Thus, on average, a human's level fluctuates in the range of 200-500, while in a ghoul it can vary from 1000 to 8000. If for some reason the concentration of RC cells increases in an ordinary person, then his taste buds and digestive system will begin to change. He will begin to resemble a ghoul and will no longer be able to eat ordinary human food.

Ghoul Investigators (Ghoul Investigators)

There is a ranking system developed by the Counter-Ghoul Administration (CGA) to classify ghouls according to their individual abilities and the threat they pose.
