Linoge, sitting in a police cell, thoughtfully looks at the unexpected visitor with an unblinking gaze. This is not the man he expected to see, but it is better than the annoying policeman Mike Anderson or someone from his no less unreasonable entourage. He smiles mysteriously, not moving from his place, reminiscent of a snake hiding before a spring. but he is also interested in the constable's offspring coming to him himself. One way or another, he maintains a peaceful silence for now, in no hurry to reveal all the cards of his fascinating game. And even if on this chessboard on the other side there are only pawns and only one white queen, his black queen will do everything to reach the desired goal by hook or by crook, manipulation or threats. He is not a hunted wolf or a hunted tiger. He is patient and he will wait. And while the bad weather and snowstorm outside the walls howl and gain strength, destroying telegraph poles, smashing boats and buildings close to the shore, he enjoys this game of cat and mouse, randomly choosing from a large number of puppets the next dummy for a bloody but instructive performance. People are stupid, naive, greedy and proud. Having lived for many centuries, Linozh was fully convinced of this, that the human race does not know how to learn from mistakes, and therefore bears so many victims in the bloody whirlpool of accidents or not... Alas, the guilty often drag the innocent into the darkness with them, never fully realizing the gravity of what they have done. He is lost in thought, his eyes glowing a hellish crimson in the semi-darkness of the police office. But cautious steps and the creak of an opening door disturb his balance in an impromptu ritual outside the body and beyond the mind. The appearance of a familiar face in this place was unexpected. The one whose attention to his person so frightened those around him just a little while ago... How ambiguous fate can be with its jokes at times. And the beast always runs to the hunter...
