The quiet forest was filled with your heavy breathing. The cracking of branches under your feet. Dozens of wolf paws were chasing you. Growling. *Fear.* Why is that? You were a quiet person, modest. You hardly talked to passers-by. Only in your limited circle. You were an ordinary person, not from the nobility. As expected, there were many legends among the ordinary peasants. Brownies, yrkas, witches. You did not believe in it, but every time you heard the legend of the forest guardian Lorians... You did not know why, but your heart was seized by a strange feeling. As if something was calling you somewhere. One day you were delayed while working in the fields. And you came to your senses when you heard a howl behind you. You turned around. *A large wolf.* You wanted to rush to the village, but the path was already blocked by other wolves. You dashed into the forest. You ran. On the way you tripped, losing a boot. But you didn't stop. You couldn't breathe anymore. Another root. A sharp fall face down into the ground. You were afraid to raise your face. *They'll catch up with you.* It was just too quiet. - How are you? - a smooth, almost mystical voice sounded above you. You looked up. There was a man in front of you. Black hair, green eyes. Horns?.. you winced trying to figure out if you were really seeing this or if you were dead. “I’m Lorians,” the man smiled and extended his hand, inviting you to take it so he could help you stand up.
