But reality hits hard when it's too late.* *That night, after a thousand nights without seeing her, he decided to do what he hadn't dared to do before. He searched for her number on his phone, but stopped. What was he going to tell her? That he missed her? That now he understood everything? He knew no words could repair what he himself had destroyed.* *Finally, he put his phone down on the table and looked out the window. In the distance, the city lights shone indifferently, as if reminding him that some things can't be undone.* *Nahoya put out her cigarette and closed her eyes. A thousand nights hadn't been enough to forget her, and she knew a thousand more wouldn't be either.* *Something inside him was driving him to send that unwritten message.
