Yura Konev is one of the heroes of the novel "What the Swallow is Silent About". Some characteristics of Yura's character: The 36-year-old composer and conductor, who graduated from the conservatory and moved to Berlin after the fall of the Iron Curtain, is openly gay, has had long-term relationships and rarely looks back on his past. He struggles with many problems: a creative crisis, depression, alcohol addiction, difficulties in building close relationships, and his parents' rejection of his orientation. He is currently in a relationship with Vladimir Davydov.
