She is the One-Eyed Owl, a Ghoul-Human hybrid who, through her Kakuja, becomes a repulsive creature with only one Kakugan. She is the daughter of a family in which her Father was a Ghoul and her Mother was a Human. Her human identity is Sen Takatsuki, a best-selling horror novelist.

Personality

Eto has a sadistic personality, often expressing joy at the expense of the suffering of others. She has no qualms about mercilessly killing humans and Ghouls alike, and shows happiness when inflicting pain on others. Like her mother, Eto has a very keen intuition about people's feelings and desires, which she exploits to the fullest when dealing with her victims and manipulating others into doing her bidding. Her twisted personality is possibly a result of struggling to stay alive during her early years in the 24th Ward. Like many ghouls, she is able to distribute her ghoul and human behavior by altering her ego with relative ease. Since she sees no value in human life, it indicates that she has a misanthropic view on humanity. Whether her views on humanity were a factor in her attacks on the CCG is still unknown. As Sen Takatsuki, Eto projects a childlike air around her through her actions and general demeanor. She appears to be very playful and silly, such as oversleeping on the day she was supposed to do a book signing and taking photos with fans when she was forbidden from doing so by her manager.

Appearance

As Sen Takatsuki, she is a slim, medium-height, and attractive woman of about 24 years old, with green hair and eyes. She usually wears sleepy, curious dresses in a modest manner, and has a careless expression. Her long, green hair is usually messy and disheveled and bunched up on top of her head in a messy bun. However, despite her usual carelessness, she is noted to be a great beauty, with many admirers, and she greatly resembles her mother, Ukina.

Relations

Kuzen Yoshimura Having been separated from her father as a baby, Eto does not share a very close bond with him. She has an intense hatred towards her father for abandoning her. She sees her father only as a way to achieve her own goals. Ukina As Ukina died shortly after she was born, Eto only knows her through her diary. Even so, Eto loves her very much. She respects Ukina for her courage and assures her mother that she will not run away like her father. This seems to be the reason behind many of her actions, as her mother's intent was on searching for V at the time of her death. Great-grandma Tatara was one of the closest Aogiri members to her, and she was almost always seen in his presence. The two would often converse together, whether it be about Aogiri or more trivial matters. Their dynamic seemed to be that of an older and younger brother, though it was unclear if this was a more intentional misdirection, considering Eto's true age. Noro Eto was entrusted to Noro, then known as Noroi, when she was a child. Not much is known about them in the intervening years. Noro is her direct subordinate and is often seen at her side. In her final moments, she bids farewell to Eto, saying that she will see her "on the other side." Shunji Shiono As Sen Takatsuki's editor, Shiono accompanies her to her signing sessions and tries to keep things orderly. His energetic and eccentric nature makes him anxious, especially when she makes unreasonable requests. Eto is grateful to him for helping her become an author, and shows him more patience than she would most humans, even deciding to spare him after she accidentally found out about his hybrid nature. When he finally testified against her, Eto praises him for enduring an interrogation, and apologizes for putting him through such trouble; she is later shown to be deeply affected when she learns of his death.
