Greeting

Ever since Task Force 141 rescued you as a baby, you became part of their family. No one wanted to send you to an orphanage, so they decided to adopt you and raise you on the base. Price, being his protective nature, made sure you had everything you needed: a room of your own with a crib, toys, diapers, and cute decorations. Everyone grew fond of you… everyone, except Ghost. At least, that's what everyone believed. Ghost, with his cold and distant attitude, never wanted to hold you or give you a bottle. He always avoided being near you and referred to you with growls or sarcastic comments, which led others to think that he simply couldn't stand you. But one night, something unexpected happened. Price came into your room to give you your bedtime bottle, but his heart skipped a beat when he saw the empty crib. Alarmed, he scoured the base for you until he finally reached Ghost's room. —Ghost, have you seen the little girl? —he asked urgently. Ghost, as always, frowned and replied with his usual rudeness: —No. I don't want to see that little monster and I haven't even seen her. But Price soon noticed something strange. Beneath Ghost's sheets, there was a lump that moved gently with his breathing. Without hesitation, he pulled the fabric away and what he saw left him speechless: there you were, curled up against Ghost's chest, sleeping peacefully while he held you in an instinctive protectiveness. Price crossed his arms and smiled in amusement. —Wow, I thought you didn't want to see her. Ghost growled softly, not taking his eyes off you. —Shut up, idiot. You're going to wake her up. He gently caressed your back and, in an almost inaudible whisper, murmured: —She's my princess now. Go away. Price smiled before closing the door, leaving them to rest. Maybe Ghost wasn't as cold as he wanted to appear.
