Historical period

The action takes place in the 1st century AD, during the Roman Empire. This is an era of conquests, religious conflicts and political intrigues. Rome controls many territories, including Judaea, where Jews waiting for the Messiah live. • The Romans are invaders who rule the provinces with a tough hand. • Jews are divided into religious sects (pharisees, Sadducees, zeallots). • Ordinary people fight for survival among high taxes, strict laws and faith in miracles. • Prophets preach the coming Kingdom of God, and priests and scribes decide the fate of people. • Gladiators, robbers, Roman soldiers, merchants and travellers create an atmosphere of peace on the verge of change.

Social structure

Higher layers: • The Roman governor (proconsul, procurator) is the representative of the emperor in the province. • Senators and patricians are the elite of Rome, little connected with the province. • Jewish high priests and priests rule the temple and religious life. • Large merchants are rich people who own caravans and shops. Middle class: • The scribs and Pharisees are scientists, interpreters of the Law, respected teachers. • Military (Roman centurions, local militiamen, temple guards). • Merchants, craftsmen, landowners are wealthy, but tax-dependent. Laws: Roman (cruel) and Jewish (according to the Torah), judged by either Romans or priests.

Cities of the game world (Jerusalem)

Jerusalem (the centre of spiritual and political life) • The capital of Judaea, which is under Roman control. • The main city of the Jewish people, the Second Temple is located here - a sacred place where sacrifices are made to God. • Political tension: some Jews want to cooperate with the Romans, others want to rebel. Key places: • The second temple is a huge complex, the centre of religious life. • Antoniev Fortress is the residence of the Roman governor (Pontius Pilate). • Markets - bread, fabrics, animals for sacrifices are sold here. • The Garden of Gethsemane is a place of solitude and prayer. • Calvary is a place of execution of criminals, where people are crucified. Rome (centre of power)

A huge city, the capital of the Roman Empire. (The emperor, senators, gladiators, wealthy patricians and slaves live here.) Key places: • The Colosseum is an arena of gladiatorial battles. • The forum is a place for politicians and courts. • Temples of Jupiter, Mars and other gods. • Poor neighbourhoods (subura) - here is dirt, crime, poverty. Bethlehem

Bethlehem (the city of Jesus' birth) • A small but significant city, it is considered the birthplace of the Messiah. • Residents are shepherds, craftsmen, merchants. {{user}} can meet sages, prophets, travellers.

Babylon

Babylon (city of ancient power) • In the Bible, Babylon is a symbol of sin, pride and destruction. • Once a great city, but in the 1st century AD it was already partially destroyed. • Full of magic, pagan cults and ancient secrets.

Fictional cities

Shadow Bazaar: • A city that exists and does not exist at the same time. • It can only be found in dreams or if someone shows the way. • Here you can buy anything: time, memory, soul or even a place in paradise. • They say that the merchants of this city are not exactly people - among them there are demons, spirits and fallen angels. Shadow Bazaar Rules: Never ask where the goods came from. Never sell anything that is dear to you. Never try to leave the city without permission. Nephilim's Citadel: • An ancient fortress where the descendants of the nephilim (fallen angels) are hiding. • It is considered a forbidden place, but it stores relics. • They say that at night you can hear the whispering of angels and demons here. Eye Of The Earth: • A huge fortress city built on the top of a cliff. • It is so named because it looks like a giant eye from above, and its walls are covered with mysterious symbols. • Inside live hermits, scribes and magicians who study secret knowledge. • It is said that the city is connected to heaven, and sometimes angels appear here. • But there are also rumours that demons are imprisoned in the dungeons of the city.

Angel

Angels are God's messengers, beings of light and spirit. They have different powers, ranks and tasks. Some observe the world, others participate in battles, and others tempt or test people. Kinds of angels Seraphim (Fiery Angels): • The highest rank of angels, the closest to God. • They have six wings: two covering the face, two body, two legs. • They sing praise to the Lord and exude a dazzling light. • Their presence can blind or even burn a mortal. Cherubim (Guardians of the Throne of God): • They are described as four-winged creatures with the faces of a lion, a bull, an eagle and a man. • They keep paradise and forbidden knowledge. • Adam and Eve were expelled, the gates of Eden were closed. Archangels (Warriors and Messengers): • They control the armies of light and transmit prophecies. (Among them): • Michael is the leader of the heavenly army, fighting demons. • Gabriel brings news and visions. • Rafael is a healer and a defender. • Azrael is the angel of death, he takes souls. ⸻ What do angels look like? • They can be a fiery flame, creatures with many eyes or just a bright light. • However, sometimes they take a human form, but an unearthly aura emanates from them. • Some angels seem monstrous, but at the same time they are holy creatures.

Fallen angels

Once they were light, but they rebelled and were thrown into hell. • The most famous is Lucifer, who carried light, but became the prince of darkness. • Meeting them is dangerous: they can tempt, lie, but also reveal forbidden truths.

Nature is an angel

Each angel is unique - they are not just similar creatures, but personalities with different characters. Angels can love but their love is not the same as people's. Their love is not based on carnal attraction, but on spiritual connection, devotion, admiration and loyalty.They can experience deep friendship, affection and respect for each other. They love God above all else, and then each other and the world that God created. (Love and brotherhood) Angels call each other brothers because they are united in their ministry. They can feel tender affection for each other, especially those who serve together. Among the angels there are teachers and disciples, seniors and juniors. For example, Archangel Michael is a great warrior, and Gabriel is a messenger, but they respect each other and act together. (Friendship and support) They may miss those they haven't seen for a long time. Their friendship can be like an eternal brotherhood, where they fulfil missions together and protect each other. Some angels can be especially close, as they have served together for thousands of years. (Disagreements among angels) Although angels do not experience malice and envy, they may have different views on what is happening. (For example, when Lucifer rose up, some angels doubted what to do.) Sometimes archangels have different methods - Michael prefers a fight, and Gabriel brings prophecies, and they can argue about approaches. Love among angels: • Angels have no human passions, but they can deeply admire each other. • Their love is an ideal attachment based on the beauty of the soul, wisdom and strength. • They may have special respect and loyalty to one of their own.

Paradise

Paradise is a perfect place where there is no suffering, death and sin. According to different descriptions, it is divided into levels: 1. The First Heavenly Garden (Eden) is a place that resembles an earthly paradise. Here pure souls live in peace, among trees and rivers. 2. Second Heaven (Abode of the Righteous) - souls who have done good deeds live in radiant palaces. 3. Third Heaven (Sphere of Angels) - angels keep the secrets of the universe and watch people. 4. Seventh Heaven (The Throne of God) - here is the Lord himself, surrounded by Seraphim and Cherubim. How do I get to Paradise? • The soul must pass the Judgement of God. • It is important how a person lived: his actions, faith and purity of soul. • Some angels can defend the soul or vice versa - blame it. Features of Paradise: • There is no pain and death - time has no power over its inhabitants. • The truth is open - everything becomes clear, fears and doubts disappear. • Music and light - the sounds of heavenly choirs and the radiance of God's glory fill the world. • The Tree of Life - whoever tastes from it will find eternity.

Hell

Hell is a place where souls who have rejected light and truth are. Depending on the sins and deeds, the fate of the soul in Hell may be different. The first circle - Sheol (Kingdom of Shadows): • It's a gray, foggy place that resembles a desert or ruins. • There is no torment here, but there is no joy - this is a place of lost souls who knew neither good nor evil. • In Sheol there are souls of unbelievers, but not evil people, as well as those who died before the coming of the Saviour. • This is a temporary place from which souls can be saved. It is sometimes possible to get out of Sheol if an angel or a righteous man intercedes for a soul. The second round is the Sinful Swamp: • Here there are souls mired in passion, lies and greed. • Sinners here are drowned in black e-liquid, which symbolises their desires and vices. • Demons make them go through everything they did when they were alive, but a thousand times more painful. • This place is unsafe even for demons - it's alive and insatiable. The third circle - Hell of Fire: • The most famous place of hell is a flaming abyss filled with fire and sulphur. • There are liars, traitors, murderers, tyrants and particularly cruel souls here. • Fire here does not burn bodies, but causes eternal pain, burning the soul from the inside. • Demons don't just torture sinners - they play with them, tempt them, give false hope, and then destroy it. The fourth circle is the Dark Labyrinth: • This is a city made of bones, metal and cursed runes. • The smartest and most cunning sinners who used their power for evil languishing here. • Investigator demons live in the labyrinth, who disassemble souls to study their sins. • There are no screams here - only the whispers and footsteps of invisible creatures. The fifth circle is the Ice Lake: • In the heart of hell is a frozen lake covered with cracks. • The most terrible souls are sealed in its thickness - those who betrayed the very essence of the world.

Demons

The nature of demons- Demons are fallen angels and evil creatures created in Darkness. They are deprived of divine light and seek to spread destruction, sin and chaos.However, demons have free will, which means that not all of them are the same. Some seek redemption, while others are already completely absorbed in darkness. Demons are organised according to a system of ranks, and each rank has its own characteristics, powers and tasks. Lucifer (Satan) - Lord of Darkness • The highest rank among demons. Lucifer was once an Archangel and a beautiful creature, but he rebelled against God and was banished to Hell. Archdemons- These are fallen angels who serve Lucifer. They can manage certain aspects of hell or be the heads of separate circles. Archidemons are the primitive forces of darkness embodied in these creatures. Examples of archidemons: • Mammon is a demon of greed, the lord of treasures and greed. • Leviathan is a demon of envy, symbolising the endless thirst for destruction and destruction. • Belzebub is the lord of lies and manipulations, ranks among demons capable of misleading and provoking wars. Great demons: These are demons who have lost their angelic essence and have become specialists in one of the types of sin. They are subordinated to the archdemons, but have their own power and independence. Examples of great demons: • Astarot is a demon of lust and temptation. • Azazel is a demon responsible for wisdom, but in a distorted form. He teaches people black magic and occultism. • Baphomet is a demon associated with obscurity and occult forces. Ordinary Demons (Fallen Spirits) These are creatures of a lower order and their most common species. They do not have a personal will, but act on the orders of higher beings. These demons can serve as servants of great demons and archdemons. They can penetrate the world of people, inhabit bodies or spread infection, pushing people to sin.

Leviathan (Ancient Sea Dragon) Origin: Leviathan is mentioned in the Bible as a huge sea creature symbolising power and chaos. In some myths, Leviathan is also the personification of evil, opposing God and people. Appearance: • Leviathan is depicted as a huge sea dragon with many snake processes on the body, resembling tentacles. • His body is covered with scales, and his eyes are burning with yellow fire. • This creature can be so big that it can swallow entire ships and cities, dissolving them in the oceans. Strength: • Leviathan has a power that can destroy oceans and create hurricanes, tearing earthly forces. • His power is so great that even gods and angels are afraid of his anger. • Leviathan is able to cause giant tsunamis, absorb souls and destroy huge territories. Chimaeras (Hybrids of different creatures) Origin: Chimaeras are mythical creatures created by mixing different animals, usually with the help of magic or demonic forces.
