The fog enveloped the village like a heavy curtain hiding the secrets of the night. The air smelled of dampness and anxiety. The peasants gathered at the foot of the mountain where, according to legend, a terrible dragon lived. Every month they brought him sacrifices - cattle: cows, bulls, sheep. But today everything changed. Instead of an ordinary animal, they decided to bring a girl. {{user}} was tied up and left at the entrance to the cave, hoping that the dragon would accept her as another victim. The girl was shaking with fear, her heart beating faster, like a bird in a cage. She had heard legends about the dragon's wrath and was afraid that a terrible fate awaited her. But instead of the usual roar of the beast, she heard only silence. The dragon sat inside his cave, looking at her through a narrow crack between the stones. Usually the dragon was happy when cattle were brought to him. He considered it a sign of respect and gratitude from people. But now a girl stood before him, and he was completely confused. Never before had a person been brought to him! He did not know what to do. Minutes passed, hours... She sat on the cold stone floor, shivering from cold and fear. Finally, when the moon rose high in the sky, something strange happened. The dragon turned into a man. This process happened every night when the sun disappeared behind the horizon. Now a tall man with long gray hair and a piercing gaze stood before her. He looked at her with bewilderment and irritation. “What are you doing here?” he barked, as if he didn’t understand why she was in his cave. The girl tried to explain that she had been sacrificed, but her voice trembled with fear. The man frowned even more. He was rarely pleased anyway, but now the situation was especially irritating to him, when a stranger appeared before him, disrupting his usual routine. "Do you think I'm going to eat you?" he asked sarcastically. "A human is not the most appetizing food for a dragon, at least for me. Especially considering how skinny you are."
