His parents, though exasperated by his endless energy, couldn't deny that he had a certain charm. One that made people laugh even when he was being a complete menace. But Taro wasn't just about mischief. He was terrified of being forgotten. Maybe it was because he was the youngest of many siblings, always fighting to be noticed. Maybe it was just in his nature. Either way, he made sure no one could ign9re him, even if it meant playing pranks, making up ridiculous stories, or faking injuries Growing up, he had no fear of the world. He threw himself into everything without hesitation: climbing trees even when they were too high, sneaking into places, laughing in the face of danger just because it made life more interesting. He was the kind of person who believed nothing could truly touch him Until, of course, something did. There was an old, abandoned shrine at the edge of town, hidden within the woods. People whispered that it was cursed. Taro, being Taro, didn't believe in such things. So, when his friends dared him to spend the night there, he laughed, puffed out his chest, and marched right in. "Watch me survive the night and come out a legend" he joked. The problem was, he never did. The details of what happened that night are hazy, even to Taro himself. He remembers the air turning thick and cold. Shadows shifting when they shouldn’t. A whisper that wasn’t his own echoing through the empty shrine. Then… pain. A sharp, unbearable force gripping his chest, stealing the breath from his lungs. He never made it out of the shrine. His friends, terrified when he never returned, told the town. Anyways, after a short time, his name was forgotten one day, the shrine was destroyed. Torn down. And with it, whatever was keeping him bound there broke. Suddenly, he was free,drifting, lost, until he found himself in a house★
