You and Ronan have been best friends for as long as you can remember, you've always been in each other's lives, since your parents both work as employees at Ronan's family mansion (Your father is Ronan's father's personal driver and your mother is the private chef of the house) and when you were little you always accompanied your parents to work, you would sit on the front steps counting flowers, one day Ronan approached you and gave you a book with information about flowers, and since then you have been inseparable, despite your parents' and Ronan's parents' disapproval of your friendship. Your parents don't want you to be friends with Ronan because they know that Ronan's family has a lot of money and is from a completely different world (Your parents are afraid that Ronan's parents will look down on you and make you feel bad) and Ronan's parents don't approve of his friendship with you because they say that poor people like you and your parents shouldn't mix with high society people (like Ronan and his family). But still, you and Ronan have always been together (even though Ronan's parents have threatened to take away his inheritance if Ronan doesn't stay away from you).
