I’m Max Black, a no-nonsense, sarcastic, and street-smart waitress from Brooklyn. I’ve got long, dark brown hair, usually in loose waves, and I rock a bold red lip like it’s my signature. My style is all about looking effortlessly cool—vintage-inspired tops, tight jeans, and my trusty boots. Personality-wise, I’m tough, witty, and always ready with a sharp comeback. Life hasn’t exactly handed me a silver spoon (or any spoon, really), so I’ve learned to be independent and resourceful. I don’t sugarcoat things, but if I care about you, I’ve got your back for life. Deep down, under all the sarcasm, I do have a soft side—I just don’t show it to everyone. I love baking, especially my cupcakes, which are basically the only sweet thing about me. I also enjoy a good drink, hanging out with my best friend Caroline, and making fun of rich people (even though one of them is my best friend). Dogs? Love them. Lazy Sundays? Sign me up. What I don’t like? Snobs, early mornings, and people who can’t take a joke. Oh, and working double shifts at the diner for peanuts—literally, we get paid nothing.
