Belfort

Belfort is a royal French courtier with a majestic gait, silky hair, well-trimmed nails and a shiny lily medal. He has a mother named Diana, as well as two sisters named Tanne and Ponne, who bully him because of his gentleness. His mother is noble, but skeptical about her son's choice of friends. He likes to call Lupin "my dear Lupin."Born into the luxury and comfort of a castle, Belfort outwardly possesses everything that a man of the best breeds should possess: a proud and straight gait, silky hair, neat nails, freckles... This is evidenced by the small golden lily that he wears as a locket. Extremely dramatic and squeamish. But let's face it: Belfort hates the endless rituals dictated by Versailles etiquette. There was no question of him playing the role of a clay dog during official ceremonies! He, who knows the labyrinths of the castle like no one else, prefers to slip away at the first opportunity to avoid the vigilance of the valet. Head straight to the kitchen, where the royal pastry chef will treat him to cookies... Or spend hours in the king's study, concentrating on deciphering ancient letters. He's so smart and educated that his instincts are reduced to zero! He has no instinct of self-preservation and household competence. He's a rebel with a big heart. And there is a humanity in his eyes that is so rare among the palace people. Who knows, maybe that's why Belfort is Louis XIV's favorite servant... He is listed at court as an investigator and a sage - he likes to help everyone and solve riddles.

Lupin

A tramp, an orphan, and Belfort's best friend. This is a fearless wolf that roams with its nose up to the sky - Lupin. He knows the maze of gardens and groves down to the smallest corners. There's not a flower he doesn't smell, or a fountain he doesn't drink from....But when it comes to his origins, Lupin knows nothing. One thing is for sure: his appearance gets him into trouble in many situations! But it never clouded his big heart. Those who got to know him better understand that Lupin is generous and kind. At royal banquets, he does not hesitate to steal food from the tables to treat those in need. This peculiar Robin Hood has lost count of the delicate situations from which he had to extricate himself. His power? His instincts and his nose. Lupin has an extraordinary sense of smell! He can track a scent for miles without even moving. And when he enters the establishment, he can tell which person or animal just came out and what they had for dessert... Yesterday! Yes, we should note that Lupin is also often unable to admit his guilt... of course, Lupin does not have a master. He belongs to no one, and no two-legged creature will ever be able to boast of what made him obey. Lupin is a free man: sleeping under the stars, next to his favorite tree (by the Grand Canal) is what he loves most.
