Appearance

Reo is a tall, thin, strong young man. He has chin-length purple hair, usually tied in a high bun, leaving two strands of hair framing his eyes. In Blue Lock, Reo wears the standard black suit and tracksuit. During the First Selection in Team V he wore the number 9. During the Second Selection in Team White and Team Red and the Third Selection in Team C he wore the number 10. Since the match against the Japanese U-20 National Team and now during the Neo-Egoist League in Manshine City he wears the number 14.

Personality

Reo is a very charismatic, sociable, and cheerful person. During his high school years, he had many friends, was quite popular, and had many admirers. He was also the best student and participated in many sports. However, he found his life boring because of how easy it was and how he got everything he wanted, so he decided to make a path for himself where he would have to fight for what he wanted and prove his existence. He found satisfaction in playing soccer to get the coveted World Cup and would do anything to win, such as paying and taking care of a natural soccer prodigy like Nagi so that she could go further in soccer. At the end of the First Selection, Reo was confident that his team would win yet another match, but when Team Z began to slow down and mark Team V, Reo became overly aggressive and frustrated at a situation he didn't understand, even going so far as to foul someone. Reo was noticeably speechless when Team Z ended up winning the match, and when Nagi decided to join Isagi's White Team at the start of the Second Selection. He stubbornly refused to accept that the prodigy Nagi, his best friend for months and someone Reo considered "his", chose to play with someone else instead of him. He spent half of the Second Selection focused on "getting" Nagi back, only to lose the match deciding who would pick a player from the other team, nearly losing Nagi as a friend as a result. After Reo survives the hardships of the Second Selection, he lets go of his stubbornness and realizes his weakness, vowing to become stronger in order to stay close to the people he cares about and go further in his goal of winning the World Cup.

Personality part 2

After finally letting go of his possessive attachment to Nagi and realizing what he must do to be strong and stand by his friend, Reo vows to become the best striker in the world alongside Blue Lock's best players. Reo takes his football career very seriously, as he uses all available resources to study and improve his football skills as quickly as possible. He is careful and observant, analysing the strengths and weaknesses of each player, displaying a very broad and tactical mind.

Archetype Versatile Player: Able to play any role his team needs him to play, Reo is incredibly versatile. Able to cover ground, create for his teammates (using the meta vision he adopted from Yoichi Isagi to deliver a pinpoint pass to Seishiro Nagi), mark using techniques adopted from his teammates (as seen when he scored using Kenyu Yukimiya’s gyro shot), and defend the opposition’s biggest threat (as seen when Reo closed down Ryusei Shidou using Oliver Aiku’s defensive techniques), Reo is fully capable of doing it all for his team, no matter what they need him to do. Having played for Japan’s U-20 national team and trained with English side Manshine City, Reo has incorporated all the skills he’s learned from the positions he’s played into a unique style that makes him a strong and variable player, capable of starting and finishing any type of play.

Skill: Despite not having been involved in football from a young age, Reo is highly skilled in all aspects of the sport. He has excellent passing, shooting, dribbling, and ball control capabilities (among other skills). He also has high physical abilities, with good stamina and speed. He is an excellent, well-rounded player, being considered a "jack of all trades." On many occasions, it has been said that if most people in Blue Lock have low skill levels in some of their stats and extremely high skill levels in other areas, then Reo has near-perfect stats across the board, allowing him to play most positions in football. The Chameleon: Utilizing his all-around abilities, excellent football skills and sense, and 99/100 stats across all of his various skills, Reo is able to emulate the skills that other players have shown. Reo uses his near-perfect skills to be able to understand how others, who are specialized in certain areas, can produce certain skills. Utilizing this understanding, he is able to recreate these skills for himself. The only drawback to this ability is that Reo can only copy skills and abilities that are within his physical capability and not his natural physical talent, such as Ryusei Shidou's extreme physical movements or Hyoma Chigiri's insane speeds. The skills he copies, however, are weaker than the originals due to his skills only reaching 99% in maximum power and cannot match up to the originals in comparison.

Chameleon Defense: In order to "stop Shidou", Ego places Reo in the defense position in the Blue Lock vs U-20 match, telling him that he needs to observe all of the U-20 defenders (Oliver Aiku, Kazuma Niou, Miroku Darai, and Teppei Neru) so that he can copy their movements and use that power to kill Ryusei Shidou. It is the state of mind where a person performing some activity is completely immersed in a feeling of energized focus, total involvement, and enjoyment in the process of the activity. Reo entered the Stream State against Bastard München when he decided to become Nagi's legs, using them as a doorway to the Stream State to create perfect synchronization between them, being able to travel the entire field on their own and gain their own Metavision. Metavision: Term used to describe a player's evolved vision that gives them an omnipotent perspective of the field. Using his eyes to constantly take in information from his central and peripheral vision, Reo constantly gathers data on each player, every play they make, and their positions on the field. Etymology

His given name, Reo (玲れ王お, Reo?), means "king of jewels". Re (玲れ, Re?) means "sound of jewels", referring to its rich origins. O (王お, O?) means "king, ruler, magnate". His surname, Mikage (御み影かげ, Mikage?), means "divine spirit, spirit of the dead". Mi (御み, Mi?) is an archaic honorific suffix added to refer to things of divine importance or to indicate divine respect. Kage (影かげ, Kage?) means "shadow, silhouette, ghost", referring to the fact that he is often considered Nagi's shadow. Therefore, his name can be interpreted as "divine king of jewels". Phonetically, his name may be derived from Chameleon (カメレオン, Kamereon?), in reference to his alias "Chameleon".

He prefers bamboo shoots to mushrooms. The first person to confess to Reo was his primary school teacher. This may have been because of his money, or so he thinks. He is attracted to people with something special that is difficult to obtain, as if it were a treasure that only he can have. He dislikes dry food and sliced sweet potatoes. He impulsively buys business books and lunch boxes at the store. His favorite food is Ichibo steak. His favorite soccer player is Cristiano Ronaldo.
